@tony13tiger Teresa Earnhardt and the Earnhardt family didn't approve of the original script and Richard Childress sued ESPN for Copyright Infringement with the film's of the "3" logo and there fore most of the events in this film are inaccurate
@legomarmadroblox because just cuz there rivals doesnt mean they hate eachother plus after time they started to get along. almost any true nascar fan knew that but im sure your young (btw im 16)
@Jameron4eva Tell me Have you ever seen Dale run Defence at Daytona? cause he would go for the win unless he had a good reason to... try lisning to the team comunications during the race you'll understand
I got a question. I heard that dale loosend his straps before wrecking and that was the only reason it killed him is that true? BTW thanks for the upload that was one of the best movies i have ever seen...RIP 3
@CrazyCooter88391 But one good thing that Teresa did that is documented in this movie is, she helped get Dale his first full-time Cup ride, with Rod Osterlund.
@Adam31799 he wasn't doing it for his son he was doing it for his whole team... besides Steve Park i don't know where he was but Dale promised his team The 500 and he did his damndest to give it to them
@famousfever2 Yes they were...the best of friends....it was through Dale and Richard Childress that Neil got back in to racing....how they were played in the movie was pretty bang on as far as I can tell....there were many stories of their hunting and fishing trips, etc.
at 1:21:20, what was the whole thing with dale seeing his wrecks. did he have like bad flashbacks or nightmares that caused him stress or something??? ive wanted an explanation on this since the movie came out. PLEASE ANSWER!!!
Some of the cars in the opening and ending are wrong, such as Jeff Gordon's Rainbow colors were no longer used in 2001, Jeremy Mayfield's car looks like its from 1998, Bobby Labonte's car looks like its from 2003 and Steve Park's car is also from 2003, and Bill Elliott was in the 9 car for Evernham Motorsports. Michael waltrip's 15 is correct.
@vidEvWill finally someone who is as observant as i am lol i didn't really notice all too much but i have seen some questionable details but its a low funded movie using petty driving experience race cars lol give em a break lol
Several inaccuracies dot the movie, one you see a Tony Stewart flag waving, in the 80's scenes and Darrell Waltrip is a rival of Dale Earnhardt but they do not show some other parts of their relationship, such as Darrell drove for Earnhardt in 1998 and of course brother Michael drove in 2001. Also some of the objects are not representative of the era but it definitely captures the spirit of Earnhardt who he was a racer, yet it failed to capture who Dale was as a person. Not a bad movie.
i love this but i woud like to point out dale sr hugged dale jr when he won the daytona 500 in 98..but if u watch real fotage dale sr says 'sorry you couldnt be here dale'' dale jr wasnt at the track when his dad wonthe 500
man i was only 4 years old when Dale died and i was crying my eyes out that whole month i miss Dale so much
