I disagree. U-min is good and I personally like them better. I don't shift 1 copied anything from them. You got to learn this stuff somehow, right?

U-min's technicality is amazing and they have a little better coreography. Where as Shift 1 based on their colorful outfits and music are a bit more free flowing.

Popping and Locking is very common and there will be some moves that are similar. U-min isnt the only popping and locking group out there.

it was a version of the pacman song. their non-live band routine actually has the proper pacman music.

they weren't allowed to use the proper tracks due to copyright purposes, but the boss of the band listened to the music they needed and re-wrote it enough so it would pass copyright.

At no point was i bad mouthing there crew. just making my point that its disappointing when another group such as shift-1 go on national TV performing an taking credit for choreography thats not theres. Yes there 2 crews who do a similar style of dance an both are very talented for that matter. and your ''lack of knowledge'' or pure stubbiness as it seems fail to admit that part NOT ALL but PART of shift-1 routines are copies of Jabbawockeez and U-min.

OK show me where these boys have ever stated that this chore is all their own? I know for a fact that they gave credit to Umin at their performance but it was edited out by the producers. A small part of their performance was from an Umin routine (not even 10seconds) the rest of the 3 routines they performed were all original material. They also copied NOTHING from Jabba, unless you can prove otherwise you're just assuming. The only similarity is that they've performed Popping on a TV show.

I agree with some of the copying bit but it's really like someone taking a song and putting a spin on it. Joe Cocker with the Beatles being the preme example. All the Beatles said he sang their songs better than they did. If the spin works it's really good and these guys did a good spin on stuff that U-Min and Jabba do/did so what's the harm? It's not as if U-Min or Jabba are going to launch themselves across the world to sue them to death, is it?

If u were as 'professional' as you say you are you wouldn't spend your time bad-mouthing other crews. I know for a fact Shift1 have not copied anything from Jabba. If 2 crews do the same style of dance it's easy to see how one might get confused and think a routine was copied, but that just shows your lack of knowledge when it comes to Popping/Animation. Shift1 are inspired by Umin and you've failed to take into account that 95% of their routines ARE original & creative... that's called hatin' x

Its really STUPID and IGNORANT when people who obviously have no technical understanding of dancing think that all popping, locking, liquid, and botting all originate from America's Best Dance Crew the Jabawockeez. Jabawockeez are good at bboying, popping, locking, and alot of the very technical hip-hop dancing. Those are very popular styles! People all over the world practice the same style. Those aren't moves Jabba made up! Those are practiced known styles that have been around.
