My holidays were spent in Seaburn during the 1960's and 70's. I had an aunty and uncle who lived nearby. Many happy memories of the time. It has changed quiet a bit but it has been nice to revisit my younger years. I am now 53 and starting to remanise more and more every day - must be getting old!
There are no finer coastlines and beaches in England compared to the one in sunderland, and its time the area was done up fully so it can maximise tourism. A few more shops, restaraunts, leisure facilities, should be invested into.
Places like Blackpool, Brighton, Scarborough, Bournemouth, Whitley Bay don't have a beach the quality than sunderland does, though they benefit more from theirs due to a longer established tourist industry! which we need!
