  • great stuff good people, emmm, i dont really want to say to much and really dont want to upset you Ben, but, and this is just my view, the two girls, who i reckon are your sisters mybe,ARE A SIGHT BETTER LOOKING THAN YOU, you're a mean picker though; but, you know, praps the girls could stand in front and you sort of ,well, behind them i guess would be a good place, love your lesson vids so dont feel to bad, Phil uk

  • as soon as the banjo solo started, I got a shiver down my spine, I felt like I was in the forested mountains of the U.S.A. someday I wish to get a banjo, learn how to play it and go to America and play for anyone who wants to listen :D

  • Yall really are great! I've seen several of your videos on youtube. I'm a practicing my mandolin so I might be as good as that young lady one day. I'm 88 years old right now. I had better hurry up! Sometimes I play yalls music and just move my fingers on my mandolin neck pretending it's me a playin. Don't tell nobody that though. They might think I'm silly.

  • Ya'll just let me know when you need an upright bass player!

  • very well done folks! I've been following you guys on Youtube. I love the music.

  • banjo ben, that was superb, you are all very tallented.

  • Never gets old. :-)

  • First time I heard ur band. And in love how you guys play.

  • Hello Ben, givin the fact that you have a flatpicking lesson for this song, why didn't you play a solo yourself? You and your sisters are amazing, there is no question, and that was a fantastic version of Goldrush, as I think the minor chord adds so much more depth. But all that was missing was a solo from yourself!! What happened dude??

  • Good for the soul.

  • "NothingSerious" seriously has nothing going on in his/her head. Both 'dem girls are beautiful and extremely talanted. And it's nice that they let Ben play along with them. LOL. Seriously though, I for one, can't get enough of you guys. Best of Luck!!!

  • y all rock

  • bravo bravo....im am jelous

  • Your screen is not wide enough to see how big my smile is watching you pick that banjo solo!..............as for the rest of the band.......... praise the Lord!

  • Boy... the sister in the plaid shirt is kinda homely :@)

Really nice arrangement and great picking on both banjo and mando.

What chord (shapes?) are you using on guitar in the last A part? Ending the A part with the stop......Very cool.... Thanks Ben

  • @fifteenfofifo WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU! BOTH these girls are BEAUTIFUL! And besides, one of the great things about bluegrass is that you can be old, fat, and homely, and still be cool! It's all about the music and the sincerity of the players, bub.

THese girls are lovely AND cool! So there.

  • @pictowoman ..wow....please take no offense.. it was a joke at Ben, he is the one in the plaid shirt.. next to his (of course) beautiful & talented sisters...

  • @pictowoman Oh, OK.... nevermind then lol

  • OUTSTANDING SONG! Keep up the good work... let's hear some more gospel...

  • man you guys are unbelievable. every note is so clean and crisp.....cant get over it.

  • great job man. im trying to figure out all those licks your mandolin playing counterpart is hitting as we speak.

  • Hey i love your stuff you guys do. My dad was in a bluegrass gospel band for 12 years so I've always loved bluegrass. You should think about revisiting this song again and throwin in a guitar solo :D

  • Great playing... It'd be nice if you could learn to play without looking at your fingers all the time. Part of good stage presence is connecting with your audience when you play, and it's hard to do that when you're staring at your instrument.

  • growing up with a grand father in a blue grass band..i've heard a lot of bluegrass in my life and you guys are GOOD real good. keep it up

  • I just heard a great version of The Gold Rush last weekend at Grey Fox so I searched it here... CFB, I shoulda known!! That was smokin' !! I just makes me happy to hear it.

  • cripes! my fam can't even hold it together long enough to have a decent conversation. You folks are great!!

  • Hey Ben,

What guitar are you playing in this video? It doesn't look like one of the Taylors that I usually see you picking? Have a good one bud.

  • love country...beautiful!!!

  • the "wow" at the end sums it all up

  • You guys are amazing. and in reguards to the comments about playing the mandolin with only three fingers, who cares. She could play with two fingers and be better than most.

  • awesome! could listen to this all day. Love the smiles at the end too

  • You can't be serious...

  • @BanjoBen1 Never am. lol.

  • @BanjoBen1 never am.

  • @BanjoBen1 I totally agree! I can't use my pinky because I'm double jointed, but what r u gonna do? BTW you guys are totally AWESOME!!!!!

  • @BanjoBen1 Dear Banjo Ben: I am utterly mezmerizeded by your sister's anti-pinky mandolin playing and also by my lack of spelling proficiency. Sort of a double whammy goin' on right now. I better find a seatbelt.

  • @NothingSerious

Maybe you should post your mandolin playing one here so you can show us all how it's done.

  • @NothingSerious

why don't you post the same song on here so we can all learn from you, oh wise one....

  • @NothingSerious WOW, You must be some kind of expert or something LOL

  • The mandolin plays with 3 fingers on the left hand; never uses the 4th finger. Can't knock her speed though.

  • why am i italian????
