There has always been a special place in my heart for Cornell Dupree the musician; I only wish that I could have met Cornell the man sometime during his journey here, if for nothing else but to say "Thanks!". He left this world a better place than he found it; his musical legacy will surely endure and brighten hearts forever!
I remember the day that this video was shot, Ells, and since that time my fondness for Dupree's playing and person have only grown stronger. After some reflection, these days, I can honestly conclude that there are two important qualities that measure who we are; character and conduct. Cornell Dupree set a high standard in both of those areas for all of us, passing through this place. RIP, DA
