' Independence' from the UK while still under the umbrella of the EU is simply exchanging rule from London (albeit by a government made up largely of Scots) for rule from Brussels. The Scottish 'Parliament' is simply a European regional assembly, not a real parliament. You were once bought and sold for English gold. Now your politicians are bought by the EU.

The fact that Scotland gets far more money for benefits, health and education, per capita, than England and Wales? I would give you independence tomorrow. It would be a lot cheaper. The problem is that we are stuck in the EU and neither of us has or can have independence while this is the case.
