  • Another year. Another listen.

  • Blue wrote this song, "Smitty" sang lead in his usual pleading soulful straight from the heart style.

  • @SoulSister66 The record's on my turntable right now...all cued up and ready to spin...just like every year. Thanx 4 dropping by. Happy New Year!!!!

  • This is truly one of their best records. I play it everyday!

  • Oh I love you for posting this. I have this and the 45 of THAT TIME OF THE YEAR in a crate in the closet. Thanks so much. It means the world to me.

  • @yourgrandmadarling Thanks for your kind words. Maybe it's time to dust off those old 45s and play them again. There's nothing like 'em! Merry Christmas......

  • stunnng harmonies and very early exponent of soul music and soul group harmony -- this is a good a song as they did -- but , everything from this Carnival Label period is 5 stars. Sonny Bivens was an extraordinary song writer and played guitar on some early sides

  • I agree, stellapitbull...and I have to say, for someone who favorites mostly James Taylor & Joni Mitchell ( I love them both, too!), you certainly know your Manhattans! Thanx for tuning in..come back anytime!
