I saw all three live. I think Less Than Jake have the talent, the can play their instruments, they can sing, and they get the crowd going, but I just don't think their songs are up to scratch.

Where as RBF are a good balance of great songs and the above and Streetlight have the above but don't really talk to the audience at all.

So in summary, I disagree with you. But it all depends on what's important to you in music.

Um... I'm not disagreeing with you on this, but personally I find that Reel Big Fish's wacky lyrics are what seperates them from most rings.

Streetlight's music tends to have a message and I love that. I also love the way that each song can be tied together in a sort of story. I think that's what sets them apart...

eeek! ska! my one true love! im the vocalist in a ska band called Angelica, and its not as easy as it looks. a lot of good timing, and quick vocals (being a retired auctioneer would help lol) and my god do you get tired quick.... i play bass too... AMEN BARI FOR THE WIN. One reason why I love Streetlight Manifesto is their great bari sound which you don't get in alot of ska bands. I play alto too, but you can't beat bari.
