Such a beautiful movie from every aspect. Ms. Jessica and Ms. Drew's chemistry was obviously the driving force behind it all, but every other detail was there as well!

it looks really good and drew seems really spot on playing little edie but i dont think jessica lange will be good as big edie. she seems to play her really stern which she did not really come across as in the documentry

Remember in The Beales Of Grey Gardens they were suggesting Ethyl Barrymore could play Big Edie? Things certainly do come around.

It's like when Joan Crawford praised Faye Dunaway as the only good contemporary actress ('70s) and added that if they ever made a movie about her life, she would like Dunaway to play her. Then several years alter Dunaway did indeed portray Crawford... in MOMMIE DEAREST. Be careful what you wish for, I guess.

I'm a big fan of the original "documentary" and while I have my reservations about this film, I'm still really curious to see how they pull it off. The makeup on Jessica Lange is pretty stunning, and I want to see more!

I know. I feel the same way. But I have to admit that the sets and the makeup look amazing. I also heard that Drew Barrymore was a nervous wreck through this whole production because she was so terrified of letting people down. And I also believe that the creator is a GG buff so...cross your fingers!
