  • ....your lips move but i phones cannot hear what jobs is saying now we have become comfortably numb in our knowledge of the underpinnings in this here generation who push the buttons on their remote controls.......insert as lyrics to this song find a place, find a time beat signature remember Waters wrote this on his sick bed........

  • i think mayb, toyah wilcox and kate bush new each over. thank god they met

  • I love when she starts singing, it sends shivers down my spine..I love this song! it always makes me cry... and this version even more! :)

  • 43 people are numb.

  • Lady Gaga obviously got a lot of inspiration from Kate Bush..

  • Wonderful version!

  • 42 Roger Waters didn't like this...

  • @helloweenarctico IT IS Gilmours tune, he is the writer of music. waters for words only. You idiots

  • @saporla you are right and dave helped kate's career...

  • @saporla also dave helped kate's career

  • to see this live...must have been heaven...

  • C'mon folks! This video should have over a million views! This is what superb music is all about!!

  • Sorry but trying to imitate Roger Waters doesn't work.

  • just love those sexy cheekbones. She told me give us ten years when her son is grown up we are going to be together. Stay away from my woman Michael Sansom if you value your girlfrend she doesn't do skinny little runt way out of your league. The simple fact is I am better for her than you.

  • vx77 you are my hero forever, for posting this:)

  • I'd have preferred to have seen her covering a song like Coming back to life or Keep Talking.

  • I'd love to see her do her own rendition with a video with it. She could totally make it her own.

  • awful song

  • Just watching this performance makes me wish she would tour again, come on kate give us what we want. The woman just gets sexier sensual world onwards.

  • nice one! : )

  • I Love this accoustic version and the mix of Gilmour and Bush together again!

  • These are two amazingly original artists. I'm nearly 50 and a music journalist for 20 years. The current state of the music industry absolutely sickens me. Please expand your musical tastes beyond what is spoon fed to you. PLEASE. Look to the past... Bowie, Bush, Velvets, Furs, Floyd, Zeppelin, Hendrix, Mitchell, and even further back to Cab Calloway! Corporate music today is absolute SHIT.

  • @runly1 Bowie is God.

  • @Sadiesexy Totally agree!

  • Ffs. I'm actually fed up of seeing comments on every music video about the same thing, about new music being crap and talentless. There IS good music still out there, you just have to dig deeper to find it. Be more open minded people!

  • Lovely, never knew they did this together, nice fit coming here from wuthering heights.

  • i kissed kate once

    slurp!

  • I wish the video quality was better. It's also out of sync with the music, but still this is quite a masterpiece!

  • i'm 24: pink floyd, dire straits, u2, fleetwood mac, kate bush, peter gabriel, tom petty.

  • @U2BONO360 Jolly good diet!

  • @U2BONO360 you need to get out more

  • @sjcannell And you should open your mind

  • @sjcannell and avoid bieber discos

  • @U2BONO360 I'm 19, and that list is pretty damn awesome. I've found YouTube to be a great confessional for us under-30s :P

  • same league?? not even the same game

  • BEAUTIFUL....their music will last forever...

  • This is pretty epic!

  • Whats all the fuss.....................Who is Gaga??????????????

I know Kate Bush..............She is the hot lady who can sing...

Pink Floyd........Anyone who knows good music knows them...

    Q. Will Gaga be remembered in 30 years?

    A. I doubt it very much, she is all but forgotten now.

  • @patthedogdownunder LMAO I totally agree with you!

  • @patthedogdownunder Don't think so. I forsee a Madonna of the 21st century in her.

  • @SilenceSlayer224 In Who???????

  • @patthedogdownunder Gaga. I see a lot of parallels between Lady Gaga and Madonna.

  • @SilenceSlayer224 Oh sorry, its just that i had already forgot about her. Msg me back in 30 years if she is still around.

  • @patthedogdownunder Haha. You can count on it. If nothing else she will be remembered. Her debut album sold 12 million copies and has gone triple platinum in the US. Her second album has sold 2 million copies in the three weeks it has been out.

  • @SilenceSlayer224 and what is your point, really?

  • heý_i_fÈêl_só_lÒNÈly_töÐâY

  • Oh, read the bios. Dave Gilmour wouldn't claim to have discovered her. He was just involved to some extent, and yes, he spent some money to help her with demos. I believe he was paid back in full. This kind of relationship goes on all the time in the musical community. They help their friends and people they meet and we as punters all benefit from that fact. There is NO MONEY AT ALL those days and these days in music, until you reach a certain level, and that can take years.

  • Yes it was Dave Gilmour that discovered Kate.

  • I don't know if it has already been mentioned & sorry if it has, but Gilmour backed Kate Bush in the very early days of her career which is probably why they are performing together here.

I'm not too sure of the tie up, but I think Gilmour had an agency or something spotting new talent & Kate was one of the stars. Either way I think we can all be grateful that he knew talent when he saw it!

  • Gilmour the master!!!!

  • Fuckin' awesome. Two Gods of Music.......

  • @edgybuster You just asked for a lot of hate mail lol!

  • Power, passion, conviction. These ARTISTS are from a bygone age, and how I wish to god that we could have them back! No one comes close these days. NO ONE.

  • @Problembeing maybe you should try out the band tool in my eyes there music is quite amazing

  • @xXCUBEZEROXx Oh, I know Tool very well. Maynard's voice is incredible.

  • @xXCUBEZEROXx I also loved Jeff Buckley. I also love Martin Grech too. There are great artists around, but quite often they don't get the support they need to grow like they did back then. Everything is too contrived now.

  • Can we not just enjoy Kate Bush clips without her being compared to other artists? I am so bored.

  • Its honestly not as bad as I thought it would be...

  • at least he got a haircut

  • Who the F*** is Justin Bieber? I must be gettin old.

  • @TheSpiritOfCygnus Not to worry...in about three years nor will anyone else know who he was.

  • I always thought if Pink Floyd added a new member it would have to be Kate Bush. She is the only female vocalist who would rightly fit in that classic band. What a great new Pink Floyd album would be if Kate Bush was added -- not only for her vocals -- but for her words and music. "Running Up That Hill," and the "Hounds of Love," are just a female renditions of Pink Floyd. We're not getting any younger guys -- one more lp with Kate's contribution as a full-fledged member of Pink Floyd.

  • @lastrada52 Wow! There's a thought! My god, I would mortgage the house to see that ....

  • lol lady gaga is a bit of sewage scum no contest

  • @lespaulicetea I get on well with you!!! lady gaga is less than nothing if compared to kate!!!!

  • Thanks for posting. Wish the quality was better.

  • it bought a tear to my eye when David came in......... I saw Floyd in 1994 on my birthday......a moment I will never forget. One of my all time favourite bands.

  • btw DID anyone KNOW she would show up?

  • Kate isn't easy to understand and she doesn't even care about it.

If you want an easy product for masses go watch MTV.

  • Kate ...Well,she's real, shes authentic, she's a tru artist in her blood, she's sincere.

She's not a commercial product; something she is not "at ease " with.

I remember, when "wuthering height" came on on the radios;that feeling of

freshness ! It was like the earth stood still for a moment.

Kate,I love you, and I think I'm not alone.

I wish you the best, and most of all: THANK YOU

For everyone else: Please do not compare Kate Bush with L.Gaga;it's like beer and Chateau d'Yquem. It's insulting

  • @MrPierrePhilippe yap, at all :-)))

  • @MrPierrePhilippe No rich man's sugary swill can touch the ground my beer's walked on.

  • @MrPierrePhilippe

2 much of of a talking about

  • @MrPierrePhilippe Well, she is all that and even more than that; she may be from different planet they call Love ??? Yes ?? Maybe ??Mr PierrePhilippe; the worlds are real and authentic, and you can not compare her to somebody else because there is nobody else like Kate Bush; and there is no way after twenty years you can find me somebody like her" something she is not "at ease" with"and i'm in love, are you?

  • kate please release a new album soon! you would make this world a better place!

  • Why does Lady Gaga get mentioned on Kate Bush threads.. Not in the same league. But Kate did put female creativity on the map and showed the world that women can write music.

  • the only comparison i would make with kate is wendy rule.

  • Responding to Lady Gaga and the comparison to old school, come on now, Pop and Icons are two totally different things is what you are trying to say. And of course, in the day the songs were about life, now they are about I don't know what? Do you even understand them?

  • Other than Joni Mitchell, no one comes close to Kate.

  • OOi just shhut the fuck up !

  • She still has it, and always will have. True Genius, and she is with me since I was 12 years old. In fact, I´m 39 by now, married with two children, and I will listen to her till I die!

  • love this video but somehow sound and images are not in time

  • @MrAndy282 You are so right, and isn´t it amazing that it STILL goes straight under the skin??

  • 2 4 9 laight yaeeaarrs ahead indeed .. though she has probably not been duck hunting in the highlands and is no twit ... amazement .... duck hunting or not, it dos not matter at all ! more amazement !!!!

  • MICHAEL JACKSON IS BETTER.

  • Thumbs up if you think Kate Bush would have been a fantastic vocalist during Pink Floyd's "Pulse" concert.

  • there, is is only one kate and all other's are poser's and wannabes

  • Please!!!! Don't compare or even try, Lady Gaga to Kate Bush!!!

    An italian Kate's fan.

  • gilmour discovered kate

  • @sunkcontrol and bankrolled her 1st album.

  • wow

  • Anyone who has ever seen Kate Bush sing live is very fortunate.. And this with her old friend Dave Gilmour.. Monumental. Anyone who cant see that you're an idiot. Thank you for bootlegging this! We're so lucky to have seen it.

  • can we have were he introduces her please

  • kate brains bush

  • agreed. kate is way meek in this performance. but one of - the? most original and lasting icons of British music now and for times to come.

  • I looove Kate and admire David. But one should not forget that Roger Waters wrote this song. The brain in Pink Floyd...

  • @Znarus Gilmore wrote this song was 1 of the only compostitions of his which made in on 2 the wall!

  • @baggyboy7879 @ least spell the guyys name wright/

  • Comment removed

  • @sunkcontrol at least spell right and guys right!! my mistake though i did spell his name wrong!

  • @baggyboy7879 Aha,, did dg write the lyrics too?

  • Comment removed

  • @baggyboy7879 I checked my old LP. The song was written by Gilmour/waters

  • Comment removed

  • Crap quality. I'd really like this in HD without stuttering sound.

  • I wish I had been there...

  • i always dream of seeing kate bush live. i'm sure alot of people do.

  • I had a dream I saw her live. I'm going to make sure my children know her WELL. Love Kate.

  • I think I would have to sit on the floor with my head in my hands for this one - if I was there. I seriously don't think I'd be able to remain standing. Even more so if they did Wish You Were Here!

  • i wish they had kids!

  • im sick to F%&king death of watching pink floyd vids and seeing comment about lady gaga, and justin bieber... they are not even in the same fucking league as floyd, or kate bush, they are flat toned comercial manufactured talantless shit!!

  • @Si1301 Too true!

  • @Si1301 they are not talentless shit (well, I think bieber is but that is only my opinion) but I agree, THIS IS A KATE VIDEO.

  • @Si1301 If we didn't have Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, then what would we bitch about on youtube?

  • @unjusdorange the goverment! lol

  • @Si1301 Don't lump Bieber and Gaga in the same group either then. Lady Gaga is a really talented musician. She can sing, dance, and has excellent stage presence. Bieber is nothing. His father (Usher) made him and if not for him he would be nothing. Gaga rose to stardom on her own, no one held her hand and told people to listen to her. Pink Floyd is probably one of the greatest bands of all time and will never be topped by anyone of my generation, but Lady Gaga holds her own pretty well.

  • @SilenceSlayer224 i see what your saying, she may have more talent than that bieber kid, but her music doesnt do anything for me! wether she is manufactured, or not, the fact still remains, why are there always comments them on nearly every pink floyd, roger waters, or david gilmour videos! its a shame that people ruin the coments feeds with them!

  • @Si1301 I think she's probably one of the best marketers of my time. She is a walking billboard that screams "look at me" but I feel she does have talent. A package like that is really attractive to us. I do understand what you mean though. Bieber is on just about every video I have seen. What makes me mad even more is those damn chuck norris jokes. It's old!!! But hey you can't blame simple-minded people for spewing the same crap on every video. They can't think of anything better to do.

  • @SilenceSlayer224 i agree, except i do find sum of those chuck norris jokes ammusing, the real clever ones, not the usual boring crap that have been used over and over again!

  • @Si1301 Yeah the jokes are funny, but saying "Chuck Norris farted" after every explosion video is lame.

  • @SilenceSlayer224 i mean the real clever ones, EG. Chuck norris once pissed into the fuel tank of a truck, that truck is now known as optimus prime! or chuck norris's daughter lost her virginity, HE GOT IT BACK! lmao!

  • @Si1301 ROFLCOPTER... Those are great. I haven't heard them before. See those are good ones. I'm just waiting for Chuck Norris to die so I can watch my youtube videos in peace.

  • @SilenceSlayer224 chuck norris invented the giraffe, by uppercutting a horse!

  • did he always have short hair??!!

  • @MrRoboto4752 Yes, concert 2004 I think, or 2007. I was there

  • @OfCourseItsReal Nice one dude, will have a look for it

  • I meant to say my wife was named after 'her', not 'here', but I am pissed you see

  • Fuck me, Kate Bush. My wife was named after here, and by a total coincidence she has a nice bush. Fuck me that's cosmic.

  • Damn, if I were there...just sitting at a David Gilmour concert, he's about to do Comfortably numb, and KATE BUSH walks out. I'd die.

  • Sorry, but Kate Bush is lightyears ahead of Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga does not have her vocal or lyrical ability, her creativity, her grace, her presence, and even her dancing skills. Not saying Gaga has no talent but comparing her to Kate is a bit much. Just because Gaga can put on an abstract costume says nothing about the quality of her music and the only reason people are so aware of her is because of how marketed she is. Kate was talented enough that she didn't need that to make her stand out.

  • @burnedparadise Much agreed! Any two bit tramp can shake her ass on a stage and get paid for it. Doesn't matter whether she's got a voice or not! But Kate Bush is the farthest thing possible from a pop-whore. She is the epitome of class and sensuality in the music industry. It's women like her that keep us all from becoming mindless zombies that have never heard vocals that haven't been auto-tuned.

  • @burnedparadise WHO COMPARED KATE TO LADY GAGA? SPEAK UP, WHOEVER YOU ARE! >(

I'd put forth my own opinion, but I'd only be echoing what you've already said. Lady Gaga has NOTHING on Kate Bush. No other female artist I've heard does, tbh. I wish she was still making music, because she's a genius, and deserves far more credit than she gets for her music. Unfortunately the mainstream would rather listen to Madonna or whoever, rather than someone like Kate who is in a league of her own musically

  • @burnedparadise I think Gaga does have the vocal skills, I think her voice and talent are very underrated, distorted by the media stereotype "modern popstars are talentless", this is totally untrue if you have seen Gaga live. Her CDs may be very autotuned but live she's ace... but WHY IS SHE BEING MENTIONED HERE? Kate is just in a whole different... SPACE to gaga. I wouldn't say either was "better" per se (I would side with Kate) but let's just talk about the wonderful Kate here :)

  • @purewish nice explanation. however i keep thinking lady gaga is shit =)o

  • @burnedparadise Lady who? heheh

  • @gowconstruction or 'what'? LOL Ignore it, it'll go away. There's no 'lady' and she's only 'gaga' with financial backing and freeloading :) Anyway. ALL non-Kate and David comments should be deleted out of respect :)

  • @burnedparadise the only comparison that can be made between the two is their madness - and Gaga clearly is the winner there...

  • @burnedparadise if kate is lightyears ahead of lady gaga then what is Gilmour at? Is there even a word for that XD

btw for some reason I thought it would be interesting to continually click the 5th most recommended video and I was originally @ Bill Hicks Positive drugs story.. how i ended here I still don't find the correlation but damnit I just had to say that

  • @burnedparadise Best pro-Kate comment I've ever read. She is a genius very few can compare to.

  • @burnedparadise w8 i thought lady gaga was a man... he/she looks like a man so from now on she is a he

  • Kate is always a wonderful artist, and here she looks out of place. It's painful to see. She's here probably because Gilmour insisted and she just didn't have the heart to say 'no, thankyou...'.

  • kate and dave. match made in ...somewhere. their voices together are amazing.

  • I wish Kate was still making music. She's the greatest female artist ever

  • I I have great respect for both artists, i also enjoy unusual duos. Although the Homecam video/audio isn't that great, i still enjoyed it. Interesting that there was no bass in the beginning it focused on piano. I also liked the different way David G played the lead. These comments from a bassist who is also a huge Roger Waters fan, and has personally covered this song (mediocre at best)

  • I love Pink Floyd, I WORSHIP Kate Bush, and this is amazing. It gave me goosebumps. Also, it's nice to see Kate performing with her (for lack of a better word) mentor again. Awesome :)

  • Excuse me but what a massacre ... But I like the two artists!

  • Big mistake to try and copy that Pink Floyd number. Can see she's totallly not into it either. Uncomfortably nervous more like! Stick to your own stuff Kate ... and dump those old frumpy dresses :)

  • I would' ve happily paid a king's ransom to see this concert!

  • Beautiful honesty.

  • good version

  • I wonder if the film of this will ever be released and at a decent quality?

    I wish i had a tardis.

  • No wonder both musicians have fans in virtually every country on Earth !

  • great collaboration

  • two legends on ONE stage

  • Oh I love all these videos of David Gilmour doing Comfortably Numb with another singer. Robert Wyatt, Rick Wright, David Bowie and here Kate Bush. What's next, John Lydon? ;)

  • Oh My God! Is this seriously from 2002? That this is one of the newest vids of Kate! I can't find anything later than this video of Kate.

  • wish the video quality was better... we'll i wish i was there to see it live.

  • Two legends.

  • @IsisTiamat : two legends? were three legends: Kate Bush, David Gilmour and not forget to the master Michael Kamen.

  • Nowadays it's all tits and bums to cover how talentless those female singers are, ie Lady Freaking Gaga, Cheryl Cole and all the others. Kate has real talent!

  • @binitials I agree except for GaGa, she's a lot deeper than just pop, which she considers just a passing phase that pays the bills and acts a launch pad. Given her amazing skills as a pianist, I think she will produce some amazing stuff in the near future, because if you listen with an open mind, she's already produced some pretty cool stuff, even if it is popular. Additionally she composes every note, and is basically entirely self produced.

Give her a break, she's a Kate freak too...

  • ..adoro questa canzone...versione per me un po' insolita ma piacevole..

  • I love these two! OMG

  • @sandprof what the hell is a cnut???

  • its a CU*T but put in a different order to not be rude and make me seem clever like FCUK is F*CK but you can say it in polite conversation :3

  • kate is a great singer, very very underrated

  • @tupelo64 no shes not ... underrated .... she always was a big star

  • Kate is underrated in the States. Yes, she has a huge following, but still underrated and not commercially popular in the U.S. I only hear her on public radio, for some reason comercial radio doesn't play her. It's too bad really, because she is such brilliant and talented singer, songwriter, and muscian. Peace.

  • I think its by design - she hated all the commercial stuff - Such brilliant tallents usually do

  • Exactly, a true artist is somebody who doesn't give in to commercialism or a quick buck...

  • @derkommisar

Commercialism yes, but when your art produces fame and fortune on it's own merit, don't knock it, and don't downgrade the artist for being successful. Kate has always written a couple of specific hits on each album, because without big numbers, there's no financial backing to carry you thru when you take 12 years to write an album (Which she could have easily written in only 11).

GaGa is a good example of having talent, and going big with it: "Hey, pop is fun, what can I say"...
