  • u never said the name of the element though the entire vid :(

  • :D "Click to add keywords..."

  • I could listen to this man talk about elements all day lol, he's like my perfect stereotype of a wise but silly looking scientist

  • She may not have gotten a Nobel prize, but I think having an element named after her is a greater honor, if only because there are fewer to go around.

  • i dont want to be a cartoon so f**** off

  • It's pretty obvious that Lisa Meitner didn't get the Nobel Prize because she was a woman. Disgusting!

  • So tht is what E=Mc2 means. ive always wondered wut it meant

  • more like 3x10^8

    :P

  • exactly 299792458.00000000

    :p

  • km/sec

  • nope, 299792458.00000000 m/s

  • oops :)

  • @sikory isnt it like 10 to the power of 8 being 3000000000?

  • @tripy666 no you've got a 0 too many, that's why exponential notation is so convenient, just think about writing c^2 or hbar in standard notation, it's easy to make a mistake with a 0 that makes your calculations completely wrong, I put the decimal point with the 0's in there because 299792458m/s is a definition and not a measured quantity, so you can add as many significant 0's as you like.

btw. do you realize that you are commenting on a year old comment?

  • squared!

  • umm...no...3.0E8

  • I like how the screensaver bounces from one monitor to the other in the background. :D

  • He probably has a video card with a dual DVI/monitor input - so he set it up in such a way that the monitor space is shared between monitors - it is great if you are working apps that utilize numerous icons. . . you can have workspace on one screen and all the icon functions on the other monitor

  • Sweet, I thought I was the only one who would notice that. : )

  • I am sure there'll be something beautifully wonderful about the update of this one...

  • Knowing the history about the element is very interesting and I think contributes a lot to learning about a particular element. I do appreciate these videos and all of the information they share it's pretty cool!

  • As much as I like these videos, the story of Meitner has nothing to do with the element Meitnerium itself. =p

  • Yeah, I doubt there is much to know about it. All these really high atomic number atoms don't really have much to 'em.

  • first. good videos :D
