The reason the FZ8 sounds that way when the throttle is closed is because of Yamaha's Chip Control. It has a flap in the exhaust that allows the engine to produce more torque. You guys really need to begin learning about technology. Reading is a good start.
Why the sound is not smooth when closing the throttle? It sounds like excessive fuel is burned after the throttle is closed. I noticed it on other fz8 videos with stock exhaust as well.
How much?

szalyga 4 months ago 2
@szalyga definitely a pin with a small cotter pin used as a pivot point. no threads+harmonic vibrations= rotating pin.
aaronmiata2003 4 months ago
@aaronmiata2003 Yes, I understand that. I said it is noticed that the sound generated by the engine is strong. I have bike, I know how.
Bye! (sorry, my english is bad)

please change that ugly plate holder, seems like yamaha designers run out of ideas when arrive to rear part of bike, p.s. akrap rules, no doubt

That's not full RPMs. Not by a long shot. Sounds kind of flat, my FZ-1 with Leo Vinci Evo Carbon sounds better!

@510danr You can hear it bounce redline. The FZ8 only revs to 11,500

@MrTraviswoodbury If you wanted a bike with an R1 engine... then look up the "Yamaha R1" on google. It has a R1 engine built in.
minja714 1 year ago
@MrTraviswoodbury They make one with and engine derived from the R1, it's called the FZ1....duh!

@Tophairybutt
There is nowhere mentioned that FZ8 uses YCC.

You should have went with the Delkevic slip-on, cheaper and works much better. But you have a nice bike, just poor choice of can.
