The reason his triceps do not show very much is that he has a huge elbow joint. That is one of the reason big joints are a problem for bodybuilders. Large joints can hide contrast with the muscle and the frame. In Markus case the big elbow joint is the reason the triceps hide. If you see him training them on his videos his triceps are very strong, they just do not show well on stage.

What I wonder about is HOW is Markus staying healthy? Steroids aside, the sheer bodyweight of the man has to be hard on his body, yet he has held onto such size now for OVER 10 years. I there is any secret he knows, its how to hold onto that size long term.

@tantoxer His lack of triceps and his thicker midsection always lost him points. Genetically he's just got a broad waist and triceps that don't develop in the shape the judges want to see. One other thing I'd have to fault him on is his back thickness, especially when he'd stand next to a guy like Ronnie Coleman.
