being Romanian, I truly enjoyed this But it would have sounded more Romanian with less pedal in the piano... a little less chopin-esque.. :P love these guys, and it's true Lugansky is not completely on it in this one... but I've seen them in concert in this combination... and still it was brilliant.

Repin has great harmonics. He plays this music like Vengerov.

I dont see why people are bashing Lugansky. He is a great pianist. He feels the music as if Bartok wrote it.

@Martel211996 Lugansky indeed is great. However, I heard Repin perform with Berezovsky on piano and, in my judgment, Boris was better.

there´s no chamber music in this performance. Lugansky has no harmonic sensibility.
