Everything Yann Tiersen touches turns into magic. He touches every piece of your soul, making you understand thing if you just sit down and listens to some of all the music he have created. His music isn't any kind of music, it's like it tells you a story and keeps suprising you of how good it is, every single time!
Yann Tiersen is one of the greatest artists ever to be born!
The movie was not anti-communism. It was made to show that not every german was just happy about the fall of the iron curtain, and to show their dreams and their wishes wich they had about their country. A great quote from the movie is "Diese DDR dich ich für meine Mutter geschaffen hatte wurde immer mehr zu der DDR, die ich mir gewünscht hatte". Translated it means "The GDR i made up for my mother more and more became the GDR which i wished myslef".

Comunismus and capitalismus are the same face of evil, but different colors. i am not surprised that some people are nostalgic of an era where you could live for free, but that was the wrong way because they love an immaginary world that did not exist in true and in which many lives have been destroyed

this is such a beautiful movie but this music makes it magical, yann tiersen lifts every movie up to a much higher level with only a simple pianosong. That makes him a master in my eyes
How fragile is human nature, that sometimes needs these of parallel realities to survive. Worlds that lasted for a time and that, after disappearing, crushed the lifes and dreams of so many people.
In my opinion this music reflects that very well.
Yann Tiersen's music is a journey. You travel with him altogether, carrying your emotions, losing your sense of place and moment; for a while you are the listener and the world is music. I feel so lucky having heard him. Thank you!

when I hear this song, I Don't do anything. I just think about my life . Both the good and the bad sides. I think about the life of other people. that the life it wasn't so simple. This music really excited to think. This artist is great he can bring in a song so many emotions.

si vous saviez à quel point j'adore cette musique. Elle se porte bien au delà du film,
bien au delà de ce que l'on ressent en le voyant, je suis sure que la plupart des personnes en entandant cette musique a un sentiment de malaise...mais pas brutal: doux! c'est incroyable, tellement de choses peuvent ressurgir sur l'écoute de quelques notes..waw!
