ok there is a huge diffrence between pc and mac all macs (except mini) cost around 1000 dollars even the most basic mini is around 700 and the cheapest pc (take note that cheap pcs are slow though) is probably around 200 and the one im using to type this comment cost 600 with 3 gigs of ram 17" display and full keyboard with mutimedia controls plus an intel core 2 duo processor i mean not that macs arent worth the price but u can get good pc's for a low price im not deffending pc i want a mac :3

macs have good build quality but their OS is an inflexible POS, now you gotta give them credit for idiot-proofing linux (that's what it is, it's idiot proofed linux, it actually looks like ubuntu) but it takes away alot of the users power. also mac OS is by no means virus-proof, at all, whether or not you get a virus always comes down to the common sense of the user, nothing else, not firewalls, antivirus, anti-spyware, encryption, just the user.

@MrSham3less Mac's do not allow foreign/unidentifiable scripts to run without either user input or the mac automatically making the decision itself (generally this is to block the script). The scripts do not get onto your mac. Mac's also occupy less of the market than pc's so not as many viruses are written to run or even target macs. Mac's also come with 1228bit encryption keeping files safe.

i like Apple and Microsoft OS's, and i'm sorry this is complete bull. The reason macs don't get as many viruses or add-ware is not because they are so much more sophisticated, it is because less people use macs, so less malware is created for it. Its simple really people who create malware want to infect as many computers as they can, and since more people use windows based machines, more malware is made to attack windows machines.
Of course he never even mentions Linux. Macs are overpriced garbage and Windows is good but you always have a threat of viruses (although a simple antivirus software avoids this threat). Linux is faster than the two, has absolutely no viruses, has more capability, and is free. I honestly don't see any reason to use Mac and I hardly use windows (I only use it for compatibility).

People that Buy "Mac or Apple", are the people that don't know how to maintain, or use the PC, and don't know how to use them, so they buy a Mac. Macs Are Limited. Because there brains are Limited. Viruses can effect a Mac just as much as a PC, if there's an OS on it, and if it's for the consumer, it can be hacked, cracked, and violated, just as much as the PC.
Computer must be made and setup for the user. I think there are three types of users.1st type is entry level and they can 1 year or 10 year users in this level they are strictly click to function users and nothing more and should not play in configuration options of the OS. Type 1 should only stick to well known site and should not do software installs unless checked. 2nd intermediate you can give them more access to installs and modifications. 3rd type is tech can do more specialize things.
@shojingod Mac users are type 1. Most the time when PC users get screwed is they think they are type 2 or 3 and get themselves in a bind and they blame the PC for it. A good example is a type 1 user should stay to main sites of the web and not go where type 2 or type 3 locations like pirating sites, warez, etc. If you can't throw a punch don't join the fight club biatch!
PC are more complex machines then Mac's meaning if you don't know what your doing on a PC it will bite you in the ass. Mac are more user friendly for the intro computer user. Good Hard disk drive 320g + and atleast 3gb of memory...2gb is no good because your OS takes most of the memory. so you have like 1gb and abit lol = slow
And software also depends on what you want...windows is easy, Mac is more for a technical use i,e, programming, graphic development..
It's not because you got an i7 cpu that youtube loaded a video faster dude - it's called bandwidth speed. So you could have a pentium3 to do the same as your i7 ultra expensive cpu. (well maybe the page full of "flashed" stuff could "hang" rendering images and show less fps watching an HD video with a PIII but the load time of a video depends on your internet speed not the cpu).

There is no 'best laptop', Apple and other companies use the same hardware from the same manufacterers (Intel, ATI, AMD, nVidia etc.).
The only difference is obviously the operating system and the way it looks. There is an exception for Alienware computers as they are specifically designed for high performance gaming tasks that require far more computer power and also generate a lot more heat (thus requiring better cooling), these laptops are far more expensive than regular ones.

Of course he never even mentions Linux. Macs are overpriced garbage and Windows is good but you always have a threat of viruses (although a simple antivirus software avoids this threat). Linux is faster than the two, has absolutely no viruses, has more capability, and is free. I honestly don't see any reason to use Mac and I hardly use windows (I only use it for compatibility).

People that Buy "Mac or Apple", are the people that don't know how to maintain, or use the PC, and don't know how to use them, so they buy a Mac. Macs Are Limited. Because there brains are Limited. Viruses can effect a Mac just as much as a PC, if there's an OS on it, and if it's for the consumer, it can be hacked, cracked, and violated, just as much as the PC.

Computer must be made and setup for the user. I think there are three types of users.1st type is entry level and they can 1 year or 10 year users in this level they are strictly click to function users and nothing more and should not play in configuration options of the OS. Type 1 should only stick to well known site and should not do software installs unless checked. 2nd intermediate you can give them more access to installs and modifications. 3rd type is tech can do more specialize things.

@shojingod Mac users are type 1. Most the time when PC users get screwed is they think they are type 2 or 3 and get themselves in a bind and they blame the PC for it. A good example is a type 1 user should stay to main sites of the web and not go where type 2 or type 3 locations like pirating sites, warez, etc. If you can't throw a punch don't join the fight club biatch!

PC are more complex machines then Mac's meaning if you don't know what your doing on a PC it will bite you in the ass. Mac are more user friendly for the intro computer user. The click one function at a time user. Modification of the system is limited for the user so they don't screw themselves doing thing they don't know about. You take a PC and you lock it down all administrative functions and modifications options with a better web browser and anti virus and it's as stable as mac.

I have a mac book pro with intel core I7...15 inch!Worth every penny in my opinion! I'm just a kid but like I sayd...but comparing it to my old DELL its far more great ! What I like the most is the fact that you can have windiws 7 and mac OS X thanks to BOOTCAMP!If windows 7 crash i go in tha other windows...dele the win 7 repartition and reinstaling ...and the sistem doasn't tacke eny damage! what is this guy talking about? I spent a hole year downloading torrents. Games, Music, Movies and so on. I have not got one virus on my pc. The only user that gets a virus is a dumb user. Secondly. I bought a mac to see what it was about. So i picked up a ibook g4. Yes its old but so is xp. But the point was that i could barely download anything because my system was old? But yet there is still support all the way to 98 sometimes? So what is so great about a mac? other then looks of course.

OK.. let's not be fooled here.. MACs ARE VERY capable of contracting a virus.. YES they are.. Although they are a very reliable computer... More reliable only because MAC OSX is a form of UNIX.

"The best laptop" - that depends on the individual and what you want out of it..generally you need A good Processer 2.0ghz + (intel)
Good Hard disk drive 320g + and atleast 3gb of memory...2gb is no good because your OS takes most of the memory. so you have like 1gb and abit lol = slow
And software also depends on what you want...windows is easy, Mac is more for a technical use i,e, programming, graphic development..

It's not because you got an i7 cpu that youtube loaded a video faster dude - it's called bandwidth speed. So you could have a pentium3 to do the same as your i7 ultra expensive cpu. (well maybe the page full of "flashed" stuff could "hang" rendering images and show less fps watching an HD video with a PIII but the load time of a video depends on your internet speed not the cpu).

Later I knew this kid whose dad had a mac and it was really fast with some games and better than some MSDOS ones. Those macs costed so much as a cheap automobile. Only the VERY rich would buy one. There is no 'best laptop', Apple and other companies use the same hardware from the same manufacterers (Intel, ATI, AMD, nVidia etc.).
The only difference is obviously the operating system and the way it looks. There is an exception for Alienware computers as they are specifically designed for high performance gaming tasks that require far more computer power and also generate a lot more heat (thus requiring better cooling), these laptops are far more expensive than regular ones.
