well you pay to go see him live so its fine if it doesn't fuck up the performance, but if i went and he was all sloppy and didn't give a shit i would be pissed
I have yet to see him live but if he's going to be trashed... well, not all of it's about seeing the best performance. I worry about people who drink like that. : /
if you're paying to see conor oberst you should know well enough to realize he's prolly gonna be trashed. personally i pay to see artists play their songs and see them in their true form...conors true form is wasted and yelling...that why we love him so much :)
I do think it's a little disrepectful to put on a show drunk because people pay for your best efforts. However I think I'd probably do the same thing and just get drunk and enjoy myself. A drunk performance is sometimes a better performance, see modest mouse circa 1997
beer killed my aunt. But maybe he's learned to take care of himself and eat unlike my aunt did. Anyway I could understand sloppy shows. been to a few. but they gotta make fun of it sometimes. im sure playing too much and traveling alot takes a toll on folks.
Let's not be naive, that wasn't just beer. As the lyrics go in Lua "It takes one to know one kid and I think you got it bad". It was a very sloppy show in my opinion. Plus, I got spit on by Conor which some people might like but it's not my thing.
I was at this show as well. Conor was completely inebriated. I thought it was a pretty crappy show and I'm one of his biggest fans. I only hope he does not become the rock and roll cliche and die before his time because that is where he's headed if he continues that kind of partying.
look at him haha he is just jammin. the clap is not even on par with the song and you can tell heso so drunk he loves it

Oh yeah, I definitely think less of Conor Oberst because of his alcohol consumption, what a monster!
Calm down, he's a badass and puts on a great show no matter what.

Wait what...?
If he wants to be drunk during his performance he most certainly can.
Weirdos.

give him a break! he's been touring since june. since he didn't become a cliche 5 or 6 years ago, i don't think beer is gonna kill him!
