Dir en grey dident steal anything. Kyo used to be a roadie for Kuroyume and became friends with kiyoharu. its natural that he happened to act like someone he looked up to so much and use some of his mannerisms.
I don't understand what the big deal is. So what if Kyo is somewhat like the lead singer if this band? All that means is he was influenced by this band. Are Visual kei bands not allowed to have influences? Both bands are great and musically they are not the same thing.
Hm, I like both Dir en grey and Kuroyume, but it's pretty much a fact that Dir en grey owes a lot to Kuroyume. Kyo did kind of completely steal Kiyoharu's look and mannerisms after all.
@KenSansei the only thing that evolved with Kyo is he now tries to sound like korn, preforms over seas and has 68,746,487 more fat weeaboo fans. at least Kiyoharu still puts out good music. Not to mention he's just put out 3 new albums, solo, SADS and Kuroyume.
@HotKukuro Watch what you say, Diru has have it moments and they do have similar sound as KoRn once, If you look at DIru now they're on A whole new "DIFFERENT SENSE" of level.lol
@KenSansei I am glad that Kyo has evolved... meaning that he has found his own style. Kiyoharu is the same because... well, he is Kiyoharu and Kyo finally found his own unique style and voice. Imitation is alright as long as you eventually grow out of it and do your own thing.
umm are you stupid??? can you not read what it says? "Kuroyume - like a angel" right at the top not rise against dumbass. plus rise against sucks anyways. stupid emo...
absolutely, in an interview Kyo once said that he always only did the things he wanted to do, and never did the things he didn't want to do. He also said he never really saw the point with going to school :)
I didn't feel angry, not at all. I'm just a statistics person.
I'm not saying L'arc-en-Ciel aren't popular, they really are, and I'm just going by record sales and stuff like that. Dir en grey sold out all their tickets for two concerts in Finland in 30 seconds, and personally I'm rather indifferent to both L'arc-en-Ciel and B'z.
Laruku may be more popular in Japan, but I think that outside Japan, especially in Europe or North America, Dir en grey is much more popular than them or B'z.
*rolls eyes* B'z has been around longer hence they have more album than Laruku, hence higher total sales. Please stop comparing an apple to an orange.
when i first started to watch obscure i was about to sleep so i decided to turn it off before i was to disturbed to sleep but then i watched it and think its cool
Gr8 song! However, I prefer Kiyoharu's vocals in Sads. He makes his voice a little bit more raw and animalistic in Sads compared to Kuroyume. Anyway, both this vid and song were great!
What is so wierd is that I like his vocals better in Kuroyume! I think his voice has really matured and grown personally! But I agree that he is great in both! :D
When I first watched Obscure, I was like "Whoa! What is this...? Oh wow." Then when I watched Mazohyst of Decadence, I was like "What is that...? OH SHIOT!!" Then after watching it all, I didn't go near the computer for the whole day.

@DoorsBeyondDoors and now look at them both. Kyo has evolved so much as an artist whereas Kiyoharu is still where he was 10 years ago.

Kyo is a huge fan of Kuroyume and especially Kiyoharu; he started his carreer of by being a Kuroyume roadie rather than going to high school

Believe it or not Hyde is a big Kuroyume fan as well, they used to perform together in early Laraku.

Kyo is the vocalist and lyricist of Dir en grey, probably *the* most popular and successful Japanese rock band ever.

the most popular japanese rock band is Laruku XD
Akuroshi 4 years ago
if you're going by record sales, B'z is the most popular, ever.
L'Arc~en~Ciel = 15 million sold albums;
B'z = 75 million sold albums, 'nuff said.

I say that because I think L'arc en ciel is actually more popular than DeG, and B'z too.
I prefer DeG, but I think the most popular band actually is L'arc~en~ciel. Sincerely, I don't understand why you felt angry with my comment...
