Though I respect this band, and the fact that these are it's roots, thatthis heavy jamming is kind of neato, other than that this song is sort of boring
Whats with the Black Sabbath comments? This sounds like shit. Yeah it's heavy but so were lots of bands back then. This is crummy song writing. Nothing touches Sabbath back in the day, not Sir Lord baltimore...no one!!!!!!
@FenceHeadstone you don't hear sabbath in this? that's pretty sad, and an insult to sabbath in suggesting that they sounding anything remotely like the other bands around in 1971
Kraftwerk are gods. This track is pretty cool, but at this point they had nothing on countrymen like Can, Faust or Amon Düül II. But later, yes, they would evolve into something more godlike. Sounds like an early incarnation of Neu!, and I guess that's pretty much what it is.
Makes sense that Kraftwerk started out with regular instruments. The stuff they played later had not been invented yet..... by .... Kraftwerk. Part musical group, part mechanical/electrical engineering firm. West Germany was a strange place and thank god for that.
@jackson94146 NO SHIT! Reznor's damn near 50. You don't think NIN was his first project do you? I've been a Reznor fan for 20 years. Don't question my knowledge when you can't read what's written.
@jackson94146 I'm assuming English isn't your first language. You still can't read OR comprehend that when Reznor was a teenager the first Kraftwerk album was 8 years old. You never listen to old music? I know you do because we've been bickering about this album that was released 40+ years ago. I'm done.
Kind of sounds like devo...the hardcore albums.

This is so unlike the Kraftwerk I'm familiar with. LOVE it. Love the crunchy, dirty guitar. Love the echoes of Black Sabbath. Just fantastic.
