I've been looking into buying a new quad, last one was a kawi 360 ( for the farm so don't laugh too much) the renegade seems like it can handle the 4x4 and still play with some of the sport quads. Where I live there is areas with lots of sand as well as some awesome muskeg for mudbogging. So is the renegade good as an all rounder? From what I've seen on YouTube it seems so but I'd like to hear from someone that's ridden one in all conditions

@split29445 I just bought an '05 ds650X damn that thing is fun as you will know with your 450, my other brothers have an 07 renegade 800 and a 09 outlander 800 they both kick ass to but as for your question about the 800 being better i think it doesnt matter as long as it has a Rotax its bullet proof

@88GMCsierra350 ha, yea I agree about the rotax thing. The only thing i've noticed is the things are HOT AS HELL. lol, hotter then my kfx400 by far. I litterally have to wear jeans if i do any long riding. I actually had burns on the inside of my right leg after riding several hours in shorts.

reply to wyyclef and rebalpridecville, Iam riding a renegade 500 and ifound a way to stop them from frezzing other than just not using them. Theirs a plate by the brake caliper that moves back and forth that freezes up wich locks the brakes on the disk so I justspraysome sort of lubricant like pam or something oily and sorta tacky thatwon't freeze and it just stops water from getting in their and keeps it lubricated. Just make sure you don't get it on the brake rotor or disk.

anyone ever hadd problems with the brakes freezing up when riding in the winter? i got some snow in mine and they froze up three times or more i had to go and unthaw them.. @insanerider5 Water gets in there and freezes. No way to stop it really.  Keep a propane torch with you and after you melt the ice, tap the breaks every once in awhile to keep them warm.

depends on what you want.. if you want to go fast, fly off jumps, but still be able to hit a mud pit, the renegade. If you want a quad that will work, and still play, id go rancher. Depends on your budget. You can ask anyone on the net and they'll say "RENEGADE MAN!!" because its one of the hottest quads on the market and its quick. Do some research and choose the quad thats right for you. The Renegade 800 and Rancher 420 are two totaly different machines.

i checked out there web site. and the way it work is like a all wheel drive car. when the back tires spin the front will kick in. but on top of that it it has traction controll so if one of your front tire spin more than the other it will send more power to the wheel thats not spinning. they call it the visco-lok automatic differntial. and as you can see i cant spell worth shit lol.
