Comedy identifies the absurdity of all aspects of life. Politics and government are an attempt to create order out of that absurdity. While they are in a sense connected, a particular political view doesn't correlate with sense of humor or even what kind of comedy one prefers.

I once heard that the key difference between American and British humour, is that Americans approach it thinking 'isn't it funny that...,' while the Brits look at it from 'wouldn't it be funny if?' I think that there is something to that, and that it plays a role in how conceptual some British humour is. Personally I'm just glad that as a Canadian I was exposed to both from an early age.

A friend of mine loved this song so much she "dance-marched" to it during 17th of May, the Norwegian national day, a day filled with childrens celebrations.
