"Suddenly, the Animator suffered a fatal heart attack (Gilliam at drawing board: ERK! (Falls over)) The cartoon peril was no more. The quest for the Holy Grail could continue!"
I used to do a big band/jazz radio show a few months back, I bought a CD of old wartime big band for it, and I actually found the song that this tune is based on!! It's called 'sing as we go' and I listened to it absolutely crying with laughter, couldn't take the show seriously that night....
@thenutintheushanka18 As a conservative who identifies as a rather fundamental Christian, I laugh at your feeble notion that we have no sense of humor. Furthermore, my wife is a rather liberal Gnostic Christian hippy who loves America. Therefore, I fart in your general direction, your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries....silly english kaaaanigghit! LOL ;) Cheers.
@genovipers No, I'm not saying that all conservative Christians have no sense of humor, I'm pointing out that that is a popular stereotype used by leftists. Your hovercraft is full of eels!
Why did something so absurd and silly as Monty Python become a political arguement? I believe all the cast members of Monty Python's Flying Circus just wanted to poke light hearted fun at the world around them. It was not meant to destroy or demoralize anyone or anything.
Well speaking as Conservative candidate I just drone on and on and on...never letting anyone else get a word in edgeways, until I start foaming at the mouth and fall over backwards.
I'm basically fiscally conservative and sociably liberal. I think deep down inside if Americans would really search their selves they might realize that a lot of us are this way. Religion needs to come out of politics and personal faith needs to be a persons own business.
Saw Eric Idle in an interview about this song.he thought the great British singer of WW2 Gracie Fields would love it.The word and song just came to him for no reason.I think it was never done in any Python show in the UK.
I feel that it should be noted that as a gun toting Tea Party Conservative and a Christian, I still find Monty Python hilarious. And I would have to say that my favorite Python of all would have to be Graham Chapman even though he was a outspoken homosexual and was one of the first celebrities to "come out" on television. How's that for busting the stereotype.

@twitchyguy I think the Python guys will be most upset to hear that! And what constitutes an "outspoken homosexual"? Point me in the direction of Chapman's outspokeness please.
@bapyou Wow. I know you're just trolling in some vein attempt to get yourself into the highest rated comments section of this video... but seriously?? Politics have little to do with a genuine interest in comedy. Get that shit outta here.
"Politics have little to do with a genuine interest in comedy."
Repeat this line to your nearest gun-totin' teabagger. And show him this video. But be careful if you do: they may begin foaming at the mouth about "Hollywood" liberals corrupting "our" nation. You've been forewarned.
@bapyou As a conservative agnostic, I laugh at your feeble notion that all conservatives are Christian Fundamentalists with no sense of humor. I have all of the Monty Python episodes on DVD, and they never fail to make me laugh. I don't believe that all liberals are smelly, pot smoking atheist hippies who want to destroy and demoralize America.
@LejaSiv I'm libertarian(no article), I use "conservative" in the broader sense of the conservative movement, which includes us armed nutjobs, and our Conservative and Objectivist brethren.
@bapyou My dad, though not a gun-toter or a teabagger, has been a Republican for the entirety of his voting life, and he's the ultimate Python nerd.
Comedy identifies the absurdity of all aspects of life. Politics and government are an attempt to create order out of that absurdity. While they are in a sense connected, a particular political view doesn't correlate with sense of humor or even what kind of comedy one prefers.
And a video titled "Sit on My Face" is hardly the right forum, is it?
@vestman95 Make it four now. Not to mention I know many many more. I hope bapyou sees that stereotyping is wrong, and I hope he realizes what an ignorant prick he is.
@WafflesMgee Sit on my face and tell me that you love me, I'll sit on your face and tell you I love you too. I love to hear you oralize, when I'm between your thighs, you blow me away. Sit on my face and let my lips embrace you, I'll sit on your face and then I'll love you truly. Life can be fine if we're both sixty-nine, if we sit on our faces in all sorts of places and play, 'til we're blown away.
I once heard that the key difference between American and British humour, is that Americans approach it thinking 'isn't it funny that...,' while the Brits look at it from 'wouldn't it be funny if?' I think that there is something to that, and that it plays a role in how conceptual some British humour is. Personally I'm just glad that as a Canadian I was exposed to both from an early age.
@jkjl234 Yeah, I really like that observation, I'm just not sure where I heard it. I have a feeling it was from an interview of Salman Rushdie, but I'm not completely certain.

Because we live in the age of media image, those ones make the best TV. Therefore, they're given far more media time than their numbers may warrant.
