Awesome playing dude!! Are you running the ADA Pre amp out of a regular amp or how are you doing it? cause I wanna get one really bad but I wanna hear your thoughts about it. Does it make noise when you have hi gain?
Hi, The ADA MP-1 is fed into a Marshall EL-34 50/50 power amp. This preamp can get a little bit noisy at gain settings above 8 or 8.5 but the hum is only noticeable when you're not playing. I think this is a great preamp, I will post more sound samples soon once I've edited more patches. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
The pickup I have is an 89, it enables me to switch between single coil and humbucker mode through coil tapping. To be honest I don't know how much of a difference an 81 would make, but if you're not bothered about switching between single and humbucker mode I'd say go with 81, it's more widely used. I don;t really mind the pickups that I have now cos my guitar came with these and I think they sound ok.
do u have the 89 in the bridge? i was thinking of an hss setup in my strat with emgs 2 sa's and either an 81 or89 in the bridge can't decide what do u think will sound better in the bridge?
That's pretty damn good for just playing it from memory. Awesome job.
