um Am instead of A, but that doesn't sound much different distorted, other than that, it's the best cover of the solo I've seen so far, great job on that and great job overall.
i may be wrong but just puttin it out there, turn the pick-ups to just the front one during the solo for better tone, and instead of sliding back to the E. flip the switch back to the rear one and just go straight to the E & continue the song..
@sageguitar70 actually im pretty sure he has a 22 frets guitar lol. Makes those last 2 notes on the solo easier to nail. I know on my les paul I need to bend the hell out of the string to get that last note.
I agree with you with Gary's bending gift. I can't reach the final note of that solo to save my life. So, I improvise. I'm not of a lead player to begin with. BTW, great job.
Great Job and I wish I could play like that! Be kinda cool if the original music wasn't so loud, so I could hear more of your playin' Thanks for postin!!
I like this version a lot! Your tone is great-crunchy! I like Gary too! When he left-REO were not so good imo. My all time favorite of REO's was Keep on Running. I loved Richrath's playing on that one! That LP tone and sound came out so well in that one.
right on sage bro ! gary is the bomb. damn good cover and sharp azz paul. man, gary was one of the baddest american guitar heroes during the 70's. that last solo on "back on the road" gives me chills. also " sing to me". that is my # 1 reo jam. great work on the solo too bro. keep riding that storm out dude !!
Hey King! Thanks for checking it out! I had the pleasure of seeing Gary's band after he left REO here in KC in the late 80's at the old uptown theatre. Man that guy could play! His solo act was a lot more hard rock than REO. His string bends were incredible! Take care bro!
You just rock man.Great job.Two records every Chick had when I was a Teen are REO High in Fidelity..And Meatloaf Bat Out of Hell.certain songs on them make me think of certain people if that makes sence.
Damn Sage...you are putting out some awesome vids with the great hits of the 80's!! Perfect playing and tone! As always with you..5 stars all the way!! Btw...FIRST!!! LOL.
