Im not in a gang, im not even latino, but its obvious which is the bigger gang in the mission. VERY RARELY will I see surenos, even in the lower mission. But in the upper mission the nortenos dont hide at all. They let their presence be known. Surenos seem to be MIA anywhere in the mission.

I grew up on Lilac street off of 24th in Mission. ONCE in a while u see a sureno but they aint representing. If you asked anyone which gang ran the mission it wouldn't even be close- its the nortenos. you see them everywhere- red 49ers jersey's, red shoelaces, those eagle shirts. ONCE in a while you'll see a sureno wearing a lakers jersey or something, but thats it.
Basically its like this. You wont ever see a sureno in the upper mission but you'll see nortenos all over the mission.
