@jistenna Thanks for watching...really appreciate it!!
It just pains me to think people actually attempt to drive through some of these floods...to me, it's no where near worth cutting a few minutes off your drive.
I've seen so much great footage from down in SD...especially the Mission Valley area! Been through there many times and it looks completely different underwater!
wow i live in chino. i know where ths is I drove by ths street that same day. Wat time did this water happen when i saw on this same afternoon it was still open no gates or water, now im scared lol
@MrPatriots1212 Thanks for watching!! This occurred around 3pm-ish...I'd actually been driving down this road each day the storm was present (no flood waters though) and when I came across this I just had to stop to document! It happened all so sudden!! It's very scary stuff...
@MrBadfish2 Thanks for watching! ...Lol! Yes, they are pretty loud! I also had my camcorder mounted right up against the windshield on the dashboard so it picked up a lot more sound.
Man I been hearing about the rain in SoCal, well its rainy Season there! I think some dont realize that. Also heavy snow in Mnts, awesome, miss it! Mammoth got 5 feet in 24hrs! I skied up there before. Take care and have fun!
@ponytales2001 Thanks for watching!! I can only imagine! Be prepared for more Jan 19th like weather tomorrow! It could be even more severe with the possibility for supercells and tornadoes early tomorrow morning through the afternoon!! Coasts and inland areas!
Just thought I'd get a little warning out ;)
Really appreciate you watching and commenting! Stay safe!!
@CaStormChaser I heard about isolated tornadoes and I'm wondering if 1 could hit us.We live near Brea and Whitter. The area around us is very hilly too.
@GorillazFan1104 I'm close to your area too! Today turned out to be somewhat of a bust for tornadoes...most of the action is out in the eastern desert now. It is possible that your area could see a tornado sometime, but I would say it is quite improbable...Most of the action we see is right on the shore or close nearby as the storms typically weaken as they move more inland. But we have seen some tornadoes over the years touch down inland! So while still possible, it would be fairly rare.
@JazzyL8888 Thank YOU so much Jazzy! It is truly remarkable to witness the power of the current in person! I am very glad they had gates and signs blocking off the roadway... something tells me somebody out there might have thought they'd be able to cross this in their car when they most likely would have been swept away.
Thanks again so much my friend...Have a very Merry Christmas!! : )
@JazzyL8888 Almost forgot! Yes, we are still expecting some more rain...strong severe storms tomorrow...with the possibility for some supercell thunderstorms and tornadoes! After that, we clear out until Christmas night when the rain finally returns again.
@NathansUniqueFilms Thank you Nathan!

Nice footage. Reminds of many times biking home from school. Very southern California : )

San Diego has areas near Mission Valley that are prone to flash flooding during storms.
Drivers actually think that they can drive through such torrents.
They are dangerous.

Our Santa Ana River here in Norco is raging much worse than last January 19th when we had our last crazy rain storms in So-Cal. Winter is here folks!

Looks like you are getting our rain! That's ok though, you can keep it for now. I am sure we up here in the SW corner of WA will get it soon enough.

I don't think some people realize how quickly and how strong these currents can get .
This is excellent footage Sean . Amazing .
Thanks so much ! Are you expecting more rain ?

That look like a dam have broke.
sprinkle888 1 year ago
@sprinkle888 It really does, however this was all a result of rainfall...no upstream dams anywhere nearby.
This road supposedly floods quite often so they've placed gates and flash flood warning signs around it.
Thanks for watching!

Wow! Incredible flash flooding Sean! Very nice shots of this flash flood. You did a fantastic job filming this weather event!
