  • Waiting for Columbus is one of the best albums ever recorded.

  • the end is a dead end..

  • I never heard or seen Little Feat until a friend who worked security at Glassboro tate College in New Jersey. Went to the show heard them and didn't remember much from the show. The only thing I did remember was the at the end this giant tomato dropping down. So later I went to a record store looking for it, brought it and been a fan ever since. That was in 1978, have seen them many times with and with Lowell!

  • All Time fav

  • Not to burst your bubble az3wheeler but it couldnt have been 1976( this album was released in 1978 and the concerts were recorded from Washington DC in 1977 on the Time Loves A Hero tour) so I think you may have your years wrong but who cares right- Little Feat kicks ass and I am glad you really enjoy them.Alot of those years probably blended together because they were so great.

  • I saw these guys in 70 something at Shippensbug College Pa in their gymnasium. Don't get no better than this!

  • I saw the band and Lowell once with Bonnie Raitt as opening act...I have seen the band many times since and they still can bring it...

  • Lowell George and Little Feat are pure greatness...I only as Little Feat once in Jackson Miss...It was in a theatre and Bonnie Raitt opened...Lowell and Bonnie did a killler 30 minute mini set and they traded slide licks and I literally found heaven on Earth...What a great band..Louisiana loves the Feat...Cajun Out!!!

  • this album is timeless. fortunate to see these guys with the grateful dead in '91. no lowell though, but it worked

  • ロックの理想郷ライヴ・アルバムの最高域、リトル・フィート、"Time Love s A Hero"ズシリと脳に食い込むリッチー・ヘイワードのドラムが曲をドライヴィング!

  • I haven't heard this in 30 years, its even better now, well hearing it sober for the first time also. So much fun, such good times,

  • This groove is just fucking disgusting.

  • @percussoid it's so good.

  • I also wore this album out, "the music was hot but my baby was not"

  • Late in 1978 I saw this album and on the cover was a tomato kicked back in a hammock. It gave me a good laugh, so I bought it not knowing who Little Feat was. What a great score! Turns out that we played that album over and over again. I am 56 now and still get out the vinyl classics. My wife and I get buzzed and listen to the Feat and others. =-)/

  • @kybigd1 Way to go!! Im just now discovering this...unbelievable..im 51.

  • @kybigd1 WELCOME, My Brother. There are many here,......Just like You. Got any 1.5's?

  • I wore this album out. I bored my non-musician friends with this album. I still listen to this album. I am listening to it now. I love it.

I got an Uncle in Puerto Rico

Spends his days in the sun

    his nights in the casinos

He left the States many years ago

Took a fishin' boat to Puerto Rico

Now my aunt, she is sad and lonely

She'll never know that she drove him away

As a coward I admire his courageous ways

  • @fireblossom2u I'm listening to it as well. Amen brother. AND RIP LOWELL GEORGE. WE MISS YOU WHEREVER YOU ARE.

  • I wore this album out. I bored my non-musician friends with this album. I still listen to this album. I am listening to it now. I love it.

  • God loves him some Little Feat...if you haven't heard the entire album, RUN, don't walk to the nearest store and pick it up! Then when you've heard it, pick up all their studio work~you won't be sorry!!

  • Phish's version is better. hehe

  • @superballix11 Not in a million years. They are not. They sound like a watered down version of the real deal.

  • @komimakojaketu Hey, they're both good right? have you heard Phish's version? they harmonize just like these guys. I love both bands.

  • @superballix11 DIE DIE DIE YOU HIPPIE BASTARD. YOU HAVE SMOKED TOO MUCH WEED. YOU NEED TO DRINK TOO MUCH JACK DANIELS THEN YOU WILL LIKE THIS VERSION BETTER. The Phish version is pretty good though.

  • @joeytwosubs well at least you've heard both versions like myself. I don't smoke weed btw and I like this version to. maybe it's just that i've only seen Phish's version performed live.

  • @superballix11 I'm just kidding you. I'm the pot smoking hippie bastard and I like both versions too.

  • @joeytwosubs yea phish can tear just about anything up.

  • I had this on a recorded cassette, eons ago. hmm.... gonna have to get the cd's... Sweet. What a band

  • St. lou loves the feat.

  • 御大リトル・フィートの超強力ライヴより、"TIME LOVES A HERO"~うねりにうねるサウンドの波!~アメリカン・ロックの極みに到達!

  • @wajobu

    That`s it!

Da gibt es kein Vertun ;-) !

Und, A Day at the Dog Races ... From the Original Live-Album: Waiting for Columbus ... WoW!

  • I listen to alot of music. I listen to little feat more than any other artist. I love all the different versions of this wonderful band. I have been a fan since the beginning. It just never grows old. love them Feats, God bless em all!!! RIP Lowell & now Richie.

  • ...at least fade the song... Grr.

  • This is a very good song. It has a blues vibe with some rock sprinkled upon it. The drums, guitar and bass are very tight. I think every blues player should know this song and use it as a reference to blues. Very good song all around.

  • @Mrgibbledude1 Duh...yeah You Think????? You should have been there Bro...these are the cats that invented it....you hearin the real 'ting mahn.

  • This song is incredible. I have always been so intrigued with the unique beats and beat changes. Very intricate and the subtle Latin and Calypso influences just belie what great musicians and writers these guys are (and were, in the case of Lowell George).

  • Best album ever

  • On a trip to Ocean City, MD back in 1976, this was the only cassette tape we had to listen to in my cousin's van. I had never heard of Little Feat until then. By the time the weekend was over and we had played that tape dozens of times, I knew every word to every song and I've been a fan for the past 35+ years.

  • @az3wheeler Hi! Funny reading your msg. I went on a camping trip to OC, MD and we played it the whole weekend. Everyone around us would yell out "OHHHH time loves a hero". And the Dixie Chicken sing along all around was so much fun. I think Little Feat gained quite a few fans that weekend!

  • @az3wheeler

In the mid-to-late-'70's Little Feat was a Baltimore-based band.

I'm 45 now but I remember sailing the Chesapeake then with my parents and their friends digging these guys.

I guess I'm an original fan! Maybe the youngest!

  • the best live album EVER

  • @EveningAtire got that right,.........if I was stranded and allowed 1 album this would be IT

  • @Dedhedsurfer - That 'splain it. thanks. The next song being?

  • THE FEAT WILL BE MY HEROS FOR ALL TIME ! THE SOUTH HAS RISEN AGAIN AND LOWELL GEORGE IS LEADING THE BAND LOL. EAT YOUR HEARTS OUT YANKEES

  • @gregroy54 South? The only "South" about Little Feat is that they were a Southern California band.

Lowell George was from Hollywood, California. Co-founder Roy Estrada was from Santa Ana, in Orange County, California, the county south of Los Angeles. Paul Barrere is from Burbank, California. Drummer Richie Hayward was from Iowa.

Little Feat were formed in Southern California, in Los Angeles.

Bill Payne (Waco, Texas). Kenny Gradney and Sam Clayton (New Orleans) were from the South.

  • Have always loved to listen to WfC while driving, especially at night. Cast my vote as Best Live Album.

  • great cover art

  • Grew up in Denmark, Europe and discovered Little Feat in early 80s. What I wouldn't give to have had the opportunity to see these guys live.

  • IS IT FOUR SIX OR FOUR EIGHT TIMING ON RICHIE HAYWARD

  • zero dislikes... it's a good thing

  • I miss Little Feat more than I miss being 17 years old

  • Ouch, that's a rude ending.

  • One of my all-time favorite live cuts, and one of the best Little Feat recordings - the whole album is great. Miss the old band.

  • RIP Richie Heyward. This was a favorite CD and one of the best live albums. Saw them at the Santa Monica Civic in the early 70's.

  • Made me wanna go to Puerto Rico, I'll tell ya that for sure!

I am tired of runnin' for bells...

  • Sure do like this album also like the last record album

  • I miss Lowell and Little Feat more than i miss being17 years old.

  • No More Heros!

ain't no heroes any more.... ;-)

    great song.

one of best rhythm sections ever

  • Can't decide which is the better Feat live album, Waiting for Columbus or Hoy Hoy!

  • add a little "phish" to that rhythm section and you have pure gold!

  • Thanks what a great sound.

  • The Phish cover of the album was the biggest surprise ever. The BEST Halloween cover of an album they have done. go to bt.etree.org to download the entire show. Look for the taper 'taylorc'.

  • phish played the album in Atlantic City on Halloween!

  • Listening to this album right now on here since I couldn't be with friends in AC last night @ Phish... rips anyone?

  • This is LIVE?! Wow, awesome.

  • Phish is playing this album tonight as their Musical Halloween Costume

  • The rarest of them all- like africans-- the BORN Drummer !

  • LOVE this album... I still have it , bought it 33 yrs ago !

  • To all the little feat fans...it;s another sad day!!!

  • Thanks for posting bidave706 and keep well!

  • R.I.P. Richie

  • Little Feat was (rip) my dad's favorite band. Got to hear my favorite band, Phish, play this a couple of weeks ago. Great song, great band(s), hope to see Little Feat soon, Phish sooner.

  • i dedicate this song to the philadelphia flyers its time for heroes..!!

  • It never ceases to amaze me what a sophisticated drummer Ritchie Hayward is. The opening time signature of this version of this composition is extraordinarily difficult to play. I can remember seeing him and fellow LIttle Feat member bassist Kenny Gradney backing up Warron Zevon at the Mullins Center at UMASS/Amherst in 1987. I was left utterly speechless by the brilliance of the performance!

  • @MrFredfarkle Yeah I'm not a drummer but I'd love if someone could explain to me how he plays how he does.. particularly on live versions of Sailin' Shoes.

  • Lowell George

  • From one of the best Live albums, EVER.

  • @wajobu yea verily it is one fine live album

  • @wajobu grew up in baltimore they played there often went 5 times my sis saw the concert right before he died no music is better than this

  • @wajobu ....absolutely agree.....top 3 live albums ever, in no particular order....Waiting for Columbus....Lou Reed, Rock and Roll Animal and Pat Travers Band, Go for What You Know

  • @wajobu The BEST live album EVER

  • @wajobu Let's not forget the Allman Brothers Band's Live at Fillmore ;)

  • @wajobu Waiting For Colombus is the BEST ALBUM ever

  • @wajobu no fuckin doubt

  • my god that rhythm section is tight

  • @randomusername27 Tower of Power. The whole damn thing is tight!

  • dedicated to my best pal in the world...Bob Howell...R.I.P.

  • lulz.. yup, Live at Leeds wunnerfewl stuff , but THIS album...it's to me like donuts are to Homer Simpson. I'll stop doing anything, and turn it up, eat it up with my brain, until any song playing off this album is finished.

  • This song is better than sucking down walrus snot, HANDS DOWN! Ricki Lake is the shizznit! I like to listen to this one from the interior of a coke bottle, with a lime twist for flavor.

  • Eyes sometimes lie they can be so deceiving.....Little Feat are truly classic

  • Yes yes yes. Probably like many others, I first heard this covered by phish. They sounded so happy performing it and I see why. Guess I should make a little feat playlist and get deeper into these guys
