@RhumOnFire I know it's a strange concept... but he could actually be thinking about his audience. From the audience's view, he pointed to their left and right accordingly.
@lickknob11: Funny, but great comment. I think you could get some chicks just writing and playing your own songs, even if they are not quite like this...rock on!
thtas fuckin gay that it isnt and kilburn is they should also release the film caps filmed in manchester by a guy called richard stanley for the who the year of caps is 1973
So many bands these days try to sound like there own records...... the Who always went so much further in the live realm........ Huge Huge sound for a 4 piece... Will always be my favourite live band....... Rock on guys..... you the biggest and the best!!!!!!!
@TruthAxe Your credibility as a human being has just been seriously dinged. Moon is most entertaining, prolific rock performer this side of Iggy. Iggy can't sing either. You miss the point. Of it ALL.
@TruthAxe Who do you hire to administer beatings......these days? Interesting that it is YOU who wants to play children's games. Do you do children's birthday parties as well? Maybe this infatuation led you to Townshend---but to your dismay: NOT guilty!
@juicedupnsloppy because 1) he has in his favor the Roger powerfull voice, the Keith explosive drums and John unmistakeble bass 2) because he does` simple jump; he does that in a provocative way, as he uses guitar like a machine gun
@juicedupnsloppy 3) because you know he will jump, but he always does it in a different way, so it`s always a surprise 4) because everything he does is interesting, isn`t? 5) and last but not least, he is sexy, beautifull, brilliant and full of charm. What more else is all of this at the same time impersonated?
I really didn't like that beggining where Keith is on slow motion... when this song starts with a blast is much better, i mean... image blast, that slow motion took all that blast away!!
I know what you mean. I think it's great we have this footage at all plus the audio with such good sound quality, but it would have been better to have mutliple camera angles positioned all all the members of the band like they did later at Shepperton.
The reason why the "angles suck" is that this show was shot from a back projection screen by three or four cameras, primarily for those in the nosebleed seats. That's why the footage here is tight and limited. Projection screens at concerts in 1975 were still in their infancy. I think Zeppelin were the first people to use them when they did their Earl's Court shows in May 1975. This show was on November 20 that same year... tho I must admit: the slow-motion inserts are dumb... :-)
Oh, great. Thanks to the effects guy, we get to see Pete's arm twitching instead of Keith's legendary drum break...I assume THAT was what was put at the beginning in extreme slow motion? Nice job, dude.
i think its retarted that when people hear this song they only think CSI miami,,,,screw that shit this is an awesome rock song one of the best....and should be recognized for its own genius and not some gay show
Although not bad, this one of the weakest versions, recorded in video, at least, of Won't Get Fooled Again.

I really like this video series as Moon's drums are more up front (think: Bonham) and that with the speed and fills= WOW!

Petes guitar sounds almost likea "buzz saw " at times in this performance. Wonder if he got that sound here from using the Univox Super-fuzz pedal.

You amuse, @ttraynor1. Moon died at 32. Hardly was he prolific. To suggest that Moon had the most abundant body of work in rock amounts to foolery.
In so far as entertainment, Keith Moon couldn't give the movie Dumb and Dumber a run.

And when he gets here, he's going to have a beating administered to him, if he tries any of that "I've always been a woman" stuff.

Why is it when Pete jumps around on stage he looks so cool and when someone else does it they look so lame?
juicedupnsloppy 2 years ago 35
Because Pete is so cool!!!!
tepithebest 2 years ago 10
Because Pete was ferocious. He didn't think about it, it was just natural.
Other people TRY, and it's just silly. I don't do it, even in my basement, because I can't, so I just look silly.
But Pete, He's Raw and emits like... a power.

I would have loved to have seen John during this, but the camera angles sucked, so's hid behind the speakers
