  • its been looong since i subbed to anyone. good review.

  • @sinbolik1 I appreciate that, thanks

  • Nice review!

  • Sellin' candy, makin' the greenbacks.

  • 1 tip mr Macktube; you also need to accept negative feedback and critisim as well! It's very helpfull when doing things like this! Subbed and liked! Thanks for the review as well, i will watch this...

  • @Macktube sure thing, man

  • You just yourself a suscriber, dude. And it's me!

  • @MrMetallicakid13 Thanks man. I really appreciate it. Let me know if you want me to review anything in particular

  • Nice review, dude.

  • thank you for the that review. i was actually scared of watching Gummo, with wrong imagine of it. Thank you

  • @heliasz21 thanks, Ir eally do think it's a great movie

  • Great review! Thanks.

  • Gummo is ART.

  • girl you smell like a dookie

  • Good movie, and pretty honest depiction of the poor Ohio area.

  • great review

  • I think Gummo uses the tornado stricken town as a premise to capture disaster and chaos. The scattered scenes remind me of the thrown about debris of a disaster. Ultimately this movie was a comedy.

  • @Schlumberjack101 interesting interpretation. Thanks for the thoughts

  • i couldn't have said it better myself. great review. gummo truly is a great movie because of the 'real' factor it lives up to. like you said, it captures all the things that hollywood would never be able to produce, which is an accurate depiction of what goes on in the real world. hollywood makes everything out to be artificial and non-relevant to our own lives. hollywood produces our fantasies but gummo reflects the non glamorous, harsh reality of humanity.

  • @azurenscens exactly, thanks for the comment.

  • good job man :) good review.

  • @anationsleeps Thanks man, check out part 2

  • dude i feel you completely - great review. dilettante film critics like to hate on harmony's work on some abstruse definition of "shock" but it's telling that people that are actually from underprivileged areas totally relate to it. the typical critic praises insulting, patronizing crap like "crash" (the later one) instead, which is sad

  • very good and thoughtful review of one of my all-time favorite movies. Thanks again.

  • Ah, sorry, You said it was WRITTEN by Harmony, my bad :D

  • Larry Clark directed kids, I believe. Not Harmony.

  • have you seen visitor q yet? see it!. great review thank you

  • ha ha, no not yet but hopfully soon.

  • @Macktube Awesome dude, I thought you were going to say you didnt like gummo or something. Yes great movie, been one of my favorite films for a while, highly creative.

  • I really love this review. You should review Julien Donkey-Boy next.

  • Thanks. I haven't seen Julien Donkey-Boy yet

  • nice reveiew gummo is the best

  • I've never looked at Gummo like you have explained it. Interesting.

  • Because you watch only movies they are not realistic(that mens Hollywood movies)?

  • from the creator of kids not the director. although harmony korine created the story of kids he didnt direct it

  • Hey Macktube your on a roll baby, salo and gummo? fuk yea, whats next?

  • love this movie

  • i was born and raised in xenia ohio for 37 years xenia is nothing like depicted 20 years later after the 74 tornado gummo was not even filmed in xenia

  • kids was a great movie, just saw it today

    Gummo might be next

  • awesome man. its sweet to know that many people have the same taste in movies as me.

  • GREAT review mack...keep the good work.

  • First time I heard about this movie was watching Belly. I saw the trailer for it and I didnt seem interested cuz it looked to bizarre for my taste, However ur review inspired me to give it a chance.

  • Thanks. All I Wanted Was For People To Give It A Chance Because This Film Is Amazingly Real & Deserves it.

  • whats the movie suppost to be about

  • I got it and got the soundtrack. Love them both.

  • this movie is for a very particular audience and that audience is not me

it bores the shit out of me, it's attempts to disturb and shock me did not work at all..it has a message sure but it was just totally uninteresting and uninvolving.. also akon is horrible.. however, it was a good review and i like how you explained everything, respect

  • it is for a particular audience plus you have to go it to it expecting to see the worst but it's all worth it .

  • great review. ill check it

  • Thanks for posting this review. I think you did a great thing by pointing out that this film has "heart." It's honest and full of complexity, and people aren't used to that in a film! They expect things to be made simple, good/bad, right/wrong, and a clear beginning/middle/end. Gummo is none of this. There is such humanity in this film, and I thank you for calling it out. :)

  • Thanks for the comments. Im glad you understood what I was trying to say. It's a great film.

Did you watch part 2 of this review too?

  • Yep, I watched it!

    Keep on reviewin'! :)

  • I may need to re-watch this one.great review

  • Ive always liked gummo becuase it really makes everybody who sees it think, and discuss it.

its really subject to individual interpretation, and looks like real life.

keep reviewing movies, but make sure that you keep reviewing good movies that most people dont know about, like gummo.

    rock on.

  • You have a very good taste in movies. I love disturbing movies and hard to find movies a lot, so if you know of anymore give me a list. thanks. =]

  • i did not like gummo. but i did get it's message. it's just not for everyone.

  • After seeing this on Belly,I just had to find what movie this was

  • whats good? I first saw this movie about 10 yrs ago & I've recently watched it again. this movie is a raw depiction of life in a rural midwestern town in which a devastating tornato has struck.Every character has something intriguing about them especially the boy with the bunny ears who I beleive is metaphor for the town as a whole this is a must see movie for anyone who likes independent films.

  • "A lot of people don't understand what this movie's about." Pretty profound observation Bro and good reasons to back up your observation.

  • Thanks, It's a classic. Watch it as soon as you can. The trailer is in the description box. You might want to take a look at that too. It's more organized on pt.1 though.

  • First time I have watched one of your movie reviews, I liked your perspective of this movie, I will have to check it out

  • The spaghetti in the dirty bathtub scene is still disturbing to me. Especially when the candybar falls into the water. But definitely a must see film, also must own in my opinion. It's a movie I've been wanting to pick up for a long time. Just a very very unique film, never seen anything really like it before.

  • i looked at the trailer for Gummo and it does look interesting so I am gonna see if i can get a hold of it

  • great review man! Never seen the film yet but you kinda make me wanna.

  • Thanks and yes you should definitely go and see it as soon as possible. I'm telling you it's a great film. A rare Classic IMO, Especially if you watch it with an open mind

  • You should go into public speaking..you are very good at these videos..informative,and easy to understand keep it up.

  • Thank you, I try to be very careful with my words. I don't want to send out the wrong idea or message.

  • You do a good job Keep it up :)
