Regarding the first clip. What do you expect from a band where the album cover has a pentagram on it? I find the sneaky bands (like the serpent) to be much more thought provoking... the bands where you have no idea they are satanic, but they ARE- like Led Zeppelin!

I love this guy's logic in disclaiming the "accidental" theory on backmasking. Mathematically, accidents can't just happen? Considering most of these so called backwards translations are pretty subjective anyway. You can hear whatever you want in there, however having their translation printed across the screen, and repeating the backmasked message three times each, they're relying heavily on the power of persuasion through repetition.
Backmasking is always hard to tell- but when words are ment you do hear the form of words and so on. It stands out form the rest of a cd played backwards. Also, if it doesnt make sense normally backmasking may be the intent. If you heard earshhra or simular sort of words they end up meaning something backwards(my example doesnt:)

Yup agree totally, the power of suggestion. The funny thing is that these Christians are just as eager to persuade you using all sorts of devious methods as they accuse rock bands. Just as bad, or relative. Once you understand how these people think, you can see right through it. I know I grew up with these beliefs. It's a very myopic world view.

I love this guy's logic in disclaiming the "accidental" theory on backmasking. Mathematically, accidents can't just happen? Considering most of these so called backwards translations are pretty subjective anyway. You can hear whatever you want in there, however having their translation printed across the screen, and repeating the backmasked message three times each, they're relying heavily on the power of persuasion through repetition.

Backmasking is always hard to tell- but when words are ment you do hear the form of words and so on. It stands out form the rest of a cd played backwards. Also, if it doesnt make sense normally backmasking may be the intent. If you heard earshhra or simular sort of words they end up meaning something backwards(my example doesnt:)

As I said before, you should be worried about Tila Tequila turning your daughters into whores, and not metal bands turning you into a satanist. If anything Metal has made me a very well ajusted person. I have never been to jail, I have no bastard young, I dont drink, and I dont do drugs. So it seems to me that music does not shape you into the person that you become. If that was the case I would be sacraficing babies and bathing in the blood. I listened to all examples first without reading the screen and didnt actually hear it till it was written on the screen theres no evidence in my opinion there is anything there people only hear what they want to in these supposed backmasked messages my verdict baloney

That's my point. It hasn't. If someone tells you to hear something in the backwards music then you more likely to hear exactly what they tell you to hear. If you were listening to the music yourself, with no one telling you what to hear, I bet you wouldn't notice anything but a garbled mess.

Yup agree totally, the power of suggestion. The funny thing is that these Christians are just as eager to persuade you using all sorts of devious methods as they accuse rock bands. Just as bad, or relative. Once you understand how these people think, you can see right through it. I know I grew up with these beliefs. It's a very myopic world view.

They're still in my top faves, I just don't care for their recent stuff as much.
Cool that you used to like them though, when I was growing up I ws the only one who liked tehm while everyone else listened to Bon Jovi and G 'n R, Poison, etc.

I still listen to Venom, but I like stuff like Pantera and System of a Down and Down a bit more. When i stated listening to Venom it was about 1984 and I was in The Southwest and fortunately many folks were into hard core metal.

ah ok, that makes sense. Ironically I aws the outcast, I listened to them in that era too but the people I knew it was one extreme or the other, some of the crowd listened to hair metal (IE Warrant, Poison, Bon Jovi, etc) and the other crowd listened to punk I aws pretty much the only one who stook up for Venom :)
