I always get weird looks when I say that his series (as well as Little House in the Prarie and the Waltons) are factually western shows.

Think of it. What is a western? It's a story, set in the 19th century America, preferably somewhere in the territories. That there is no gun slinging does not make it "no western series".

I think Adams would say that those times don't have to be gone if you dont want them too be. He would want people all around the world to draw inspiration from that show & his teachings & get back to nature. Shows like this & what they taught us certainly inspired me to buy a 4WD & get back to what I remembered & loved from my childhood & no matter how much the world around us degrades or saddens us, there will always be places like the wilderness to escape too. This was the best series. It's such a shame that great wholesome shows such as Grizzly are scarcely available. We used to watch this as a whole family and we thoroughly loved it. The theme song always moved me. Bring Grizzly back!!!

Glad to see all the great comments..I was music producer/supervisor for this show. This is the commercial recording...theme at the end of the show only ran about 30 seconds. The record was released as a single in Europe after the show went off the air here. Sold 2.5 million singles on RSO Records. Top 10 in England, #1 record of the year in Germany. Was finally released on Thom Pace LP on Capital Records here but unfortunately not promoted at all....thanks for great memories
