That's so stupid. Why would you try to keep someone from committing suicide? I'm suicidal, and it would make me want to blow myself up if they put laws on ropes.

If somebody wants to commit suicide, let them. Their loved ones will not feel nearly as much pain as the depressed person is feeling. It's not selfish to commit suicide, it's selfish to expect someont to live on in pessimisy and nostalgia just so you can be happy. It's not the coward's way out, it's the only way out.

Excellent and so true… 5830 people hung themselves 2009 in Germany; but only ~ 500 (less than 5% of all) took a gun.

As you may know Germany has a very strictly firearms law, but if there was freedom of choice… how many could have been preserved from hanging.....
