1:35 is from when Stefano kidnapped Sami and Eric in 1984. He was trying to have Roman's family and told Marlena if she went to Caracas with him, she'd get to be with her children.
The last part is from Belle's kidnapping in 1993. Sami kidnapped Belle (S was the only one who knew Belle was John's) and attempted to sell her on the blackmarket.
Well, Bo didn't know John was the father. They were in Paris for Greta's Coronation and went to dinner. So Bo & Hope [selfishly] are going on and on about JT and how close Bo/JT are, and how much Hope loves it. John is in pain (he's bonded with the kid, Marlena knows that) and she sees that he's hurt, and tries to hold back tears. John cuts himself with a knife shortly after.
That's from the "Caveman" scene as we call it. He'd been lying to Marlena about being JT's father and she refused to just shut up and take it, so they were fighting a lot. Brady, was a bastard who was threatening to Marlena that he was going to hurt Belle while acting like he was innocent around John. They were fighting in because Marlena found a knife in Brady's pocket (or room), and they fought until John picked her up, carried her over his shoulder home and they had angry!make!up!sex.

I love Sarah Mclachlan, but I don't follow soaps.
Mixing a great musician with average acting...hmm.
Great job in the mixing and timing, but do this with a movie (such as Meryl Streep movie).
