Way of Lone Chaw's fight looks quite different for me from the "usual" lethwei. Kinda of more western kickboxing. Not so straightforward, more "play".
I suggest Myanmar Lethwei Fighters should challenge MMA fighters to fight in MMA rules or UFC rules like other fighters accept Myanmar Boxers in Myanmar Lethwei rule.
Fighting with no gloves is different from fighting with gloves.
Gloves you can guard against an uppercut or a powerful right cross , but without gloves your guard dramatically decreases to 80% and you will not be able to deflect or block out the punch.
Which is why not many people are into Lethwei Kickboxing as it is highly dangerous. But sadly , not many Lethwei fighters are good. Due to the government's militaristic iron law and iron curtain - many are not exposed.
Hmmm. That ending looks pretty fishy. Look at the slow-mo around 9:36-9:42. Lone Chaw missed that last strait right--the Japanese fighter actually slipped it and stuck Chaw in the solar plexus. Now it could be that the Japanese fighter knocked himself down from the impact of his own punch (in which case the fight should have continued). But it really looks like the Japanese fighter is taking a dive (see him stagger off to his corner).
lone chaw might not have necesarilly missed, he didnt connect fully with the right hand yes, but it might have grazed the jap guys jaw. we cant really tell bcoz of the camera angle. But i doubt the jap went down bcoz of the impact of his own punch, i dont think punching someone's stomach is gonna hurt u enough to make u fall down

don't tell that lone chaw will beat buakaw. They are both good fighter. But buakaw has challenged the very best fighter from around the world in K-1. He has won twice. How's Lone chaw? If you're talking about taking off the gloves, it would make no difference! Buakaw is great though many people don't like him. Best!!
lone chaw hasnt fought the best fighters from the world bcoz he fights in a country that's isolated from the rest of the world. Also, fighters from other countries dont compete in lethwei in their countries. they can go 2 another country like japan or burma to fight but u dont see people in western countries fighting in lethwei everyday. taking off the gloves would make a different. No gloves means its easier to get punches through the guard and u hav 2 hav a good chin
Someone tell, are headbutts legit in this type of fight? cause Lone Chaw headbutted starting around 2:03, ans someone told me in a Lethwei match you can headbutt.
Aye also have to comment on the nice leap punch in the end. Wasnt even a clean shot and still stuck him with it. UFC has a leap punch (superman) but they use the wrong leg to step in.
