I seem to be missing something here: is Iran proud to have been ruled by a monarchy system (not a line of descendants) for some 2500 years? actually don't mind the shah, he seems admirable, but all monarchs are extravagant, self-righteous individuals, who end of the day are dictators and grip the wealth of entire peoples.
