i suggest you bring large barrel bomb+ and sm brl bmb+ so when shen falls you set them two lrg then a sm then go boom!!!! that shen will be seafood!!!

and try not to get near the explosion..

By the way, was looking it up on the monster hunter wiki, the Shen Gao is weak against FIRE and dragon, not thunder. So I'm using full Rathalos and Wyvern Blade "Blood"

Still haven't won, but Thanks for the guide. hopefully when I'm finished watching this, I'll know what to do. BTW, What does the dragonator do?

Yup, when I was starting out I did it with full Blango Armor and the devil slicer

The armor charm and power charm are not completely necessary (though I recommend you do use them), and yes I did kill it. =)

It all depends on the weappon you are using and how many times you damage the legs

It could help, but its a little dangerous. You can do it if you're really good with the timing to dodge and not get hit by the legs. But honestly with ShenGao Ren I wouldn't recommend it.

I know the question is directed to KYkero265, but I'll answer it anyways. Heroics is a Felyn skill you get from the cats in the kitchen. I don't remember correctly if it doubles or triples your attack power when your energy is low. It gives you a great advantage but it's also more dangerous since you have low health.

When you have low health it increases your attack.

Heroics is a skill you obtain sometimes from eating at the felyne kitchen(your cat must have the skill).you will need to get your life down to about 10% or less then you will activate heroics.its effect is increasing your att power and def to a dramatic level

hey since i had a kinda weak katana (compared to ures that it i had devil sier) what i did after i got his legs on to the first red i went to that ploe thing and two of his legs went on to the second red haha saved me time. even thought i still didnt kill it haha.
