  • Hi,you did a great job. I suggest you to recite hymns in traditional attire. Please don;t mind.

    Regards.

  • I'm surely aware of this. But initially, my intention was to make this appealing to modern Hindu youth who view the dress-code as an impediment. However, the later videos that I have recorded, I have come back to the traditional dress-code.

  • Vedic chantings are NOT an exclusive prorerty of anybody and definitely not of any religion be it hinduism. Just as air, water and the sun they belong to all, unconditionally!

  • The performance of the Yagnopaveetam and performing of the daily Sandhyavandanam ritual

is an IMPERATIVE for Vedic chanting. And Vedas are surely the 10000% part and parcel of

our ancient Hindu traditions. U see what has happened to another one of our great traditions

Yoga. The commercial forces in the West have completely usurped it and now they are marketing

it as if Yoga emanates from the USA and not Bhaarath. The same thing should not happen with our

    sacred ancient chants.

  • I am your fan! Wonderful work. What is the secret of ghanam chanting? It screws my brain, how do you remain so alert?

  • Challakere Brothers have a full rendering of the Entire Rudram in Kramam, they have the Nama Somaya part in Ghanam.

  • sir, you have very a great voice for Ghana patha and it is fantastic,

where can I find the script for the srirudram, I would appreicate if you can let me know

    thanks

  • Oh dude, you are brilliant. Beautiful tempo, I would love to learn Ghana Patha of Rudram. many thanks!..and regards.

  • Also released a CD of select Ghanams titled GURU GHANAMS in 2006 at Sydney Australia.. Shri Gurubhyo Namaha..

  • Your precision chanting of swaras (tones) and aksharas (words) is outstanding.. Hats off to your knowledge.

  • Many Thanks.. But in Ghanam chanting, as in classical music, there is ALWAYS room for improvement...Even the greatest of scholars cannot chant 100% precision 100% of the time.. the goal is to get there by the grace of Guru and the Almighty.

  • All glories only to Guru Vishwanaatha Ghanapaadigal (late) without whose magnanimity I would have been nowhere in Ghanams...

  • Thank you for your reply , It is so very soothing to hear to your Ghanam . You certainly are making your guru very proud by spreading his teaching .Keep up the great work .All the very best

  • Clear rendering. Not running fast. Do you have a Ghanam rendering of the complete Rudram and chamakam?

  • A recording of the entire Rudram & Chamakam Ghanam at slow speed with clear diction would take 6-7 hrs in one sitting..A monumental task on video.. But I at least plan to an audio recording in the near future of both the Kramam & Ghanam of Rudram and Chamakam in the near future. Other than that, I have an unclear fast Ghanam recording of entire Rudram & Chamakam when I participated at a religious meet hosting top Ghanapaadis at the ancient Vedic village of Komarapuram, Palakkad..

  • Waitig to hear it. Is there something commercially available rendered by any of these Top Ghanapaadis?

  • There should be Ghanam chanting available by top Ghanapaatis in places like Giri trading in Mumbai and Madras. About my recording at Palakkad, let me warn U that there is lots of disturbance with my voice and that of the others fading in and out.. So if U have to concentrate on words and tones, it may be not of help..
