  • what guitar is paul playing!? (it's not a prs i guess)

  • 5:40 and on is one of my favorite parts!

  • BTBAM = Dillinger

    Theyr both fuckin awesome

  • I'm going to see them November 20th.

I want all of them to sign my Colors CD.

Does anyone know how difficult this might be?

  • BTBAM and DILLINGER!

  • Anyone else notice the bassist's not wearing any shoes?

  • NORTH CAROLINA PROG!!!! fuck yea these guys rule

  • Paul Waggoner is a brutal fucking savage, and I would gladly take my own life (or yours) to mildly entertain him. lol

  • I wish the recorded version could end like this. The fading into silence always screws me up when playing air guitar in my car.

  • @TacoConch i actually like the fade out. gives a kinda infinite impression of the song!

  • I EAT BONERS LIKE YOU FOR BREAKFAST

  • @tatersfortots You eat BONERS for breakfast???

  • @tatersfortots You...eat boners?

  • that solo.. like made me want to quit.. life.

  • why did they give that guy a piano. lmao

  • @Mrbigboygay because he's too awesome for a guitar?

  • this is THE song, THE ending

  • Does anybody know why they cut out the clean sung parts, it adds the great atmosphere to the songs. That's why they will never be as good as Opeth.

  • @And181377 They didn't. Just the beginning. You should probably listed to the whole thing before you make that judgement.

  • @And181377 he only screamed the beginning, and probably to add more energy, on this dvd that's the only time he screams instead of clean sings

  • @freakinsweet830 He screams in pretty much every song they've ever made, dude xD

But he also clean sings a lot, which I really like.

  • @Mrcrazy80 oh I know, believe me, I'm one of the biggest BTBAM fans ever, I was replying to someone who asked why he screamed in so many parts he normally sings, to which I pointed out he didn't lol

  • @freakinsweet830 That guy might have been meaning the first vocal part in this song, in which Tommy, on the album, clean sings. But I couldn't agree with you more on that it brings way more energy to the music. HOLY SHIT! BTBAM is a milestone in music history.

  • they wish they were half as talented as dream theater.

  • @TheHammersFall and you wish that you were half as good as them.

  • @jaketheripper66 haha, i pissed you off :)

  • @TheHammersFall Not really. A comment like that is expected on youtube. Now it's just a systematic reply.

  • @TheHammersFall yeah, too bad Dream Theatre doesn't write good songs.

  • @MetalMikeCass Correction: DT write exellent masterpieces. BTBAM however, write music with like... a million more skill to it.

  • @Mrcrazy80 some of their songs are cool. Give me an example of a DT song that's a "Masterpiece"....that's what I thought.

  • @MetalMikeCass Wow.. ALOT of Dream Theaters songs are masterpieces. And it's so much more important to music in general than BTBAM will ever be.. Don't speak of DT that way! BTBAM wouldn't even exist with them.. That's a pretty often used argument, but it's true. Dream Theater won't ever be forgotten..

  • @MKiller5 I agree and disagree with you Dream Theatre songs have the potential to be masterpieces, but I believe LaBrie holds them back, he is a fantastic singer, and as a Canadian I'm supposed to stand by my brother :P but he is just too much of a power metal vocalist he doesn't have the range, not that I'm a huge fan of screaming or shouted vocals (Machine Head) but when I heard, example: the vocals for As I Am I must admit I giggled a bit the vocals don't fit a lot of their songs and that's

  • @MartyFriedmanRulez66 thats exactly what I thought, I never have been able to get into dt even though i know they are very talented.

  • @MKiller5 in my opinion, what prevents them from becoming so much more as a band, for they are just a band with the potential to become gods

  • @MetalMikeCass Ministry of Lost Souls

  • That certainly was a treat for the ears..

  • haha, that ending was awesome.

  • That ending is so fucking sick

  • 4:10 <3

  • 4:10 <3

  • i think i prefer tommy's live harsh vocals. on the last three albums he does nothing but mids. before that, he did everything! i love how varied he can be, but it seems like he only wants to do that same monotnous mids growl in the studio

  • this vid is 3 views away from 150 000!

  • @jipi439 now it's 76 views over!

  • @AnaelasM it so good to think that today so many people listened to this great tune

  • Still havent gotten to see these guys live. List of things I want to do before I die,

    1. See a Celtic playoff game (check)

    2. Meet Fedor and see him fight (check)

    3. See a BTBAM show (in progress)

  • this band is freakin awesome! i just dont like his growling vocals, just personal opinion... i like more low and deep growls =)

  • Don't make me choose between BTBAM and Dillinger... that's not fair.

  • Protest The Hero are too... 80s for me xD

  • btbam, the human absract, protest the hero

    best young progressive metal ever

  • @I3LUD Really, one shall never try to compare such bands that radiate sheer epicness.

  • Found tickets for there gig in Glasgow with Animals as Leaders on Ticketmaster for £12.50 ... fucking splendid!!!

  • 6:40 this guy has magic fingers 0.0

  • November 11th shall be quite a sad day, but the greatest day of my life as i see them perform in St. Louis with Animals As Leaders. Nothing will ever come close to matching that glory so long as i live

  • @MetalHead1058 definitely not. such epic greatness will never be matched

  • @MetalHead1058 I'm seeing them on the 8th (I think) in dallas. I'm looking forward to the greatest day ever, followed by crushing disappointment as I realize it may never happen again. pretty much the best tour ever.

  • seeing this live was every bit as epic as i thought it would be. love these guys.

  • Blake's beard: grovy as fuck.

  • Is it just me or does the bass at the begining sound like poker face?

  • Anyone know who jake troth is??? Jw cuz there is a post-it note on the keyboard lmao

  • jake troth is my friend too

  • Fav song of all time

  • QUE PINCHE RICO PEDO!!! ♥♥3♥

  • how is every one of Paul Waggoner's performances so perfect?

  • This reminds me so much of that one mastodon song....

  • BTBAM>Any other Band I know

  • @HiPPoKryPtiC nuff said

  • @HiPPoKryPtiC Opeth, Meshuggah

  • @And181377 BTBAM are on a different level!! Meshuggah play the same bloody riff in different time. good musicians who cant write half decent songs. I watched them live and from start to finish it sounded like one long song. fucking borin

  • @killswitch3ngag3 Nothing sounds way different than Obzen. At least to me I guess. Not even Opeth?

  • @And181377 I didnt get what you were trying to say. But anyway I didnt say anything about Opeth. If not anything else at least they have changes in their songs that makes it more interesting

  • @killswitch3ngag3 Coming from a Killswitch fan, I don't put much stock in that opinion. And also disagree with it. But there's no reason to compare Meshuggah... completely different genre.

  • @Zeta9966 I made this account long back and have no problems with the name. you can disagree with what i said. i have no problems with that too. i just said what i felt. and i wasnt comparing meshuggah to btbam. i was only responding to something some guy said

  • @HiPPoKryPtiC Then you probably only know 2 bands.

The Jonas Brothers and Avenged Sevenfold

  • THE GONG

  • FAKE!!! nobody plays that good live!!! oh wait... this is btbam. nevermind :D

  • @bassmaster2112 Good one :D

  • Comment removed

  • Good god holy shit they are fucking talented

  • BTBAM > Dillinger

  • @I3LUD No

  • @iAmTheYan NO

  • @I3LUD BTBAM + Dillinger

    Both good bro.

  • @I3LUD Dillinger have a more intimate live show.

  • @I3LUD comparing btbam & dillinger = epic fail.

  • @bt4life I didn't start it you dumb fuck.

  • @I3LUD <3

  • @I3LUD Dillinger is awesome too

  • @13L4CKV agreed.

  • @I3LUD two different bands...

  • @YSiLvErY these are things that are true...

  • that was majestic

  • These guys at times remind me of a melow version of SikTh, in a good way

  • That was the best ending ever.

  • Who thinks this would be the best line-up for a show ever (no particular order); between the buried and me, protest the hero, the human abstract, periphery

  • @INDIEKEEGAN periphery and btbam wuld def be good

  • @INDIEKEEGAN eh, take protest off of there and hell yes, but that's just my opinion. there's a show here in AZ in december with Periphery, THA, and The Contortionist. gonna be THE SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT

  • @BlackouttPlaysGames Stupidly good show. Wish there was one closer to my area.

  • @BlackouttPlaysGames I am going to see that same tour in Atlanta in less than a month :) it is gonna drop tha bitches to the ground.

  • @INDIEKEEGAN hell yeah, gonna beat the shit out of some of those stupid scene/hardcore kids who always show up at those shows. LOL

  • @BlackouttPlaysGames thank you. that is the truth. I am going to rock so hard, it will turn them scensters into an exhuast cloud of what real music is about

  • 12 people are Emmure fans

  • great music but horrible stage presence they just fuckin stand there the only one that gets down is the bassist

  • @metaltaint20 Oh. Yeah. Because I'm sure it's no problem to run around the stage like a bunch of chimps while you're playing technical riffs. C'mon, seriously?

I didn't mean to be so harsh, but I'd take incredible music over stage presence any day. I go to shows for my ears to be pleased. My eyes come second. That's why they don't have a light show or anything, because their fans don't really care. They just want to hear the music.

  • @mets4life3064 not to say they are better than BTBAM or anything, but Dillinger does that shit every show. :/

  • @metaltaint20 i dare you to try and play shit like that while doing backflips off your drumset, asshole

  • @aRazorsEloquence alright ill cover this for you and have a vid up next week of me showing 10 times more stage presence its awesome shit but not as hard as it sounds

  • the guitarist had amazing versatility with his playing. when the lead singer got on his piano and that Santana-esk break down happened, it was perfectly timed. towards the end they came in and left amazingly and i am seriously impressed.

  • these guys have got to be the most talented band in the world today

  • Paul is one of those guitarists that makes me want to go practice my guitar REALLY bad after I watch him play. He rocked the solo here. Sounded almost exactly the same as studio recording. I respect bands that can do that.

  • @sk8ingrox1 This entire band along with Dream Theater and DragonForce make me wanna practice every single instrument until my limbs refuse to operate properly anymore.

  • Comment removed

  • 12 people are devolving.

  • afk, practising guitar :p

  • How does Paul see the fretboard?

  • @xAfroMetalHead1990x Like he needs to see it. ;)

  • haha the bassist has no shoes!

  • 0:00 - 9:38 Nuff said

  • 6:42-7:04

    Nuff' said.

  • the camera should have never left waggoner during that solo!!!

  • i highly doubt tommy rogers would lip sync.......

  • @McPuffins509 no lip syncing, except im pretty sure there are some tweaks to intonation when he sings. band still wrecks shit though.

  • Is he lip syncing? It's disturbingly similar to the album version! Damn good!

  • When people ask me about todays great bass players, I always mention Dan Briggs. He is the metal doppleganger of Jaco Pastorious.

  • 8:37 Can't stop smiling to that moment.

  • Comment removed

  • Time flies whenever i listen to this album, the transition from song to song is just perfect, unlike so many other long progressive albums

  • 0:16 "Jake Troth is my friend" :D

  • The solo in this song is probably tied with the Fermented Offal Discharge solo for best of the decade. Waggoner is a magician.

  • 12 people are possesed by tv, drugs, alcohol, pills and useless garbage

  • @jipi439 I get blazed and listen to BTBAM

  • @6Mega6Man6 why? it's wrong men, change your life ;)

  • @jipi439 I don't want to. It's full of peace and fun. Weeds not very harmful, do you know that man?

But I don't do any of that other shit. not even alcohol.

  • @6Mega6Man6 it's ur choice... have u ever heard of being straight edge?

  • @jipi439 Yes I have. Lets take this conversation to PM.

  • @6Mega6Man6 considering that almost all the active chemicals in weed contain aromatic rings... saying it's not harmful is a bit of a short sighted look on things, also how many people just smoke pure weed?

But hey ho, enjoy yourself if you want to ;)

  • @geeupson I said it wasn't very harmful. Lol did you just call me a ho?

  • @6Mega6Man6 I was saying it's more harmful than is commonly made out, and nah its like saying oh well :)

  • @geeupson Oh lol. Yeah, thanks.

  • @6Mega6Man6 1. Yes it is.

    2. I just thought it's kinda interesting that these guys are straightedge and many of their fans are stoners.

  • @cryszofthescots well, i agree with u that drugs are wrong and i support the straight edge philosofy but i dont think that u have to be edge to listen to their music men, you're free to do whatever u want ;)

  • @jipi439 No I didn't mean that. I just made a general observation. You see, I tend to approach munduane things using the Scientific Method; first, I make an observation, follow it up with several hours of unnecessary testing and research, and then come to a completely useless conclusion. What is the conclusion to this observation? I have no clue. Anyone who says TL;DR is getting my foot up their ass.

  • @cryszofthescots I thought they were just vegans, not straight edge?

  • @plakkert Weeeeell, according to wikipedia at least Paul's straightedge. Then again, we all know how reliable wikipedia is.

  • @cryszofthescots Well, progressive metal and bud go very well together. Besides, most BTBAM fans are intelligent enough to know that weed is harmless

  • @6Mega6Man6 I don't wanna sound like an asshole, but weed is more damaging than cigarettes. If weed is harmless, then how do you explain my grandfather's death from lung cancer? I don't give a second shit about how GOOD weed makes you feel. I don't give a shit that I'm descended from hippies, a culture I embrace except for that one detail. Weed kills. Smoking kills. Don't EVER tell me smoking is harmless again.

  • @cryszofthescots I didn't say smoking was harmless. I said that weed was harmless. And my grandfather also smoked weed and he died a year ago from cancer. If you put weed in brownies, no lung cancer. Smoking it is a different story. All smoke has carcinogens. Are you trying to say that marijuana killed your grandfather?

  • @6Mega6Man6 Yeah, and regular cigs. He was more on the regular ones later. Sorry, I was a little unclear about that. Yeah weed doesn't cause cancer, but it still supresses the immune system and causes internal damage. Honestly, I hate smoking anything as a whole. I have asthma so put 2 and 2 together. I just find that idea of weed being illegal yet cigs that cause just a little less damage are fine, and my grandfather was one of those that fell for that idiocy.

  • @cryszofthescots IDK, but I think that weed is less harmful than cigs.

  • @6Mega6Man6 Okay I'll take your word for it. If it works for you that's fine. Just don't pretend there's no risk.

  • @6Mega6Man6 Waitwait is that a "sowwy" face or a "son, I am dissapoint" face? I can't tell.

  • @6Mega6Man6 "IDK, but i think that weed is less harmful than cigs."

You're wrong. The most-cited paper on the topic says: "We conclude that smoking marijuana, regardless of tetrahydrocannabinol content, results in a substantially greater respiratory burden of carbon monoxide and tar than smoking a similar quantity of tobacco."

See: Wu TC, et al., "Pulmonary hazards of smoking marijuana as compared with tobacco." New England Journal of Medicine 1988 Feb 11;318(6):347-51.

  • @csreidcr815 Yea but then again theres so much other stuff in cigs. A lot of poisonous stuff in them. Weed again is just a plant, but yes of course theres a lot of smoke that invloves smoking it.

  • @alliswow weed kill your brain

  • @csreidcr815 Yeah thats bullshit. Also ever hear of ingesting marijuana? Vaporization? Rofl.

  • @csreidcr815 Why do I know so many people that smoke and nobody I ever knew has died from smoking weed then, but many from tobacco?

  • @6Mega6Man6 WTF DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING?

  • those 12 people who disliked this are going to hell

  • they're so fucking talented! i only hope they write and release like 40 kickass albums!

  • I went to pause this song and i looked for itunes on my toolbar but it wasn't there. I totally forgot this was live. Completely insane, i've never seen/heard another band sound so perfect live as they do in the studio. Absolutely amazing.

  • @Aveation you must've forgot of bands like Dream Theatre or Rush, but these guys are pretty f-ing amazing though

  • 7:00 fuckin show off

  • Damn Tommy is spot on live!

  • Paul is my fucking hero.

  • Just noticed Dustball's shirt. Awesome.

  • 4:17 - "The sweet relief, is a must. The sweet relief, is a must." Gives me chills every time.

  • 3:45 - Tommy puttin his earpiece in going into prog mode
