i played for years started playing pipes when i was 13/14 years old even played at the world championships in scotland but after i realized you cant make any real money by playing the pipes i droped them faster than greased shit other than enjoyment factor they dont offer anything else oh well we all play for different reasons i play for money and pipes dont make you anything

@poplolmomnon Yes, it was probably an instructor recital at a week-long piping school. These happen all over the world throughout the year. They're great fun.

@poplolmomnon Of course it's for real! There's bagpipe camp, camp (that everyone is used to), band camp, and karate camps. I'm sure there are camps for various other subjects as well. It's not necessarily a "camp" so much as a school that runs a program of intense training in the subject field followed by recitals or other performances where the students can demonstrate what they've learned. It's much more rigorous than just taking private lessons and you're with a bunch of like-minded people.
