During my 22 years in service, I lost many soldiers to AR 600-9 who were fully qualified to do their jobs, but simply because they tipped the scales a bit over an arbitrary limit they were mercilessly hounded and removed from service.
sexual preference is a private matter therefore should not be an issue. Anyone wanting to be in the military needs to meet the criteria and adhere to the rules and principle. If being a Fag makes it impossible for one to follow the rules and meet the criteria then the military isn't for them.

You mentioned Special Operation troops within that number which has no bearing on anything. Nothing more, nothing less. Gays have honorably served in the military long before woman and blacks, there has never been an issue.
