Because of HOBY I was empowered to give a speech in front of my HOBY family and talk about how a year ago prior to being a part of HOBY that I was going to commit suicide and that I was beyond grateful that I didn't so I was able to experience this life changing event. I truly will never forget HOBY. Stay OUTSTANDING. <3
oh my, HOBY alum central! Going to the seminar totally changed my aspect on life. I don't know about you but if I could go to a HOBY school, my life would be complete!
One memory of HOBY is that no one put anyone down. Nobody seemed insecure. We all supported each other. It was constant happiness and excitement. After going home that weekend it was sad. Like something great had just ended that I would never forget, and miss forever.,
Before going to HOBY I was a go with life-play video games all day- do the bare minimum person. However, after experiencing this program, I quit all video games, I do extra practices, I plan to change my school, and I interact with other people with an entirely new level of confidence. Thanks HOBY, you are the absolute best people to be around.
wow i miss hoby so much! i went into it not thinking i would gain anything and honestly a little skeptical that it would "change my life" but i was so wrong! i changed so much for the better because of hoby! i met my best friend in the whole entire world and came out of my shell so much. if you go make sure you stay open, have fun, and listen to everything you hear while you're there. you'll have an amazing experience!
I was an ambassador for my school last year at HOBY.I LOVED it and it is still to this day one of my favorite memories. Atmosphere there is so positive and amazing I didn't want to leave. I owe them so much. It changed my life. I wish luck to anyone trying to be an ambassador this year, and encourage anyone thinking about it to go for it. It is too wonderful an opportunity to let it pass by.
@FR3ZHBOYZENT i you get to go...don't take any of this for granted. take in everything you can at the seminar. and stay involved for as long as you can. i'm a senior in high school, this is my third year with HOBY, my second on staff. and i can honestly say HOBY is sill changing my life, i doesn't stop after your seminar. and say in contact with the people you meet. my friends from HOBY i can honestly say are my best friends in the entire world. i hope you make it and have a wonderful time! :)
