  • Your work around to avoid climbing the tree is truly thinking out of the box!

    I also thought you might rig a pulley at the start of the zip line, and run a rope from the base, through the pulley and down to the end of the zip line. You could connect the rope to the harness attached to zipline with a carabiner for easy disconnect. You could also use your jumar to hold your position while disconnecting the rope which pulled you up the zip line.

  • I put an aluminum extension ladder up for the first 35 feet, then screwed in a bunch of hand-drill foot spikes to the top and installed a portable deer stand up there to use as a work platform. A bit of a challenge, but fun!!
