  • Blimey, you must have spent more time making the animation than the actual dolly.

  • @bruvvamoff Hehe......yes.

  • Nice dolly! Curious what software you used for the animation..

  • Nice. Put some 2x4's under your track. The whole point is that it makes for smooth footage. Your sample footage is NOT.

  • funny but when i saw rooftops i thought this must be norway ... and it is!!!

i love norway , great dolly thanks for sharring!

  • rollerblade wheels ? nicez ! xd

  • i've been planning a very similar build. You know, you could acheive a little greater stability in motion by adding some 2x4's under the pvc pipe, evenly spaced at about 3 or 4 feet apart. Also - there's a great (extremely simple) video on youtube regarding a Rubber Band. Try attaching a large rubber band to your dolly and pulling with it. It will almost completely elimitate the jar of motion stop and start.

  • @gamiensrule The 2x4 can be a good modification. There is a lot of things you can do to get it better. Thats part of the fun with DIY projects.

  • awesome

  • wow this is nice, light weight and easy to bring anywhere...

  • very cool. thanks for the inspiration! awesome animation too.
