Wont know for sure how they are doing it until reports of their summer shows start to come out.

I've seen them probably 10+ times. Great show every time. Best was years back in a small bar in Akron (Lime Spider) for $2. There had to have only been about 100 or so people there (only because of limited capacity, there were a lot of people stuck outside that couldn't get in).

The point of doing a cover is not to "one-up" the original performer (Rick Berry), or any previous versions of the cover (The Sonics).

The point of doing a cover is to put your own twist on an old song, and pay tribute to the originator. Which the Keys do a fantastic job of here.

The only reason they do it is because The White Stripes are somewhat blues based and The Black Keys are highly blues based. Also, both bands are a duo. Plus, if you were to compare The Black Keys to any band who would it be? I know, nearly incomparable lol so I'm sure people just resort to The White Stripes for comparison.
