  • As much as i enjoy their new stuff and their gigs including the two extra keys, i do miss watching them just as a two piece. Tracks like thickfreakness, hard row, ten am automatic, stack shot billy, act nice and gentle etc. The Black Keys are hands down one of the best bands to go watch live.

  • Life, at last. I found my band, YEAH BABY WILL TRAVEL.

  • I'm gonna see them live tomorrow :D

  • Rock is SEXY. :-D

  • Never heard them before...I think I like this!!

  • When I saw this video, I seriously went out and bought thickfreakness. These guys are so amazing.

  • This makes me wanna buy a Telecaster, a fuzz and a Fender Twin Reverb. And f**kin crank the shit out of everything.

  • His voice just oozes sexy.

  • im crying and i dont know why!! come on THE KEEEEYYYSSSS.

  • these guys are incredible...

  • Covering The Sonics, wonderful!

  • @tsvc2010 The Sonics didn't write this song

  • @dunokuba Richard Berry did, right? But it was most famously covered by The Sonics.

  • 240p we meet again...

  • who can they be so good playing live????? they give every song a different taste

  • love this song :)

  • My favourite band in the last 20 years of (shitty) music. The Big Come Up is one of the best debut albums IMO.

  • @horowizard My screen is rusting from the amount of irony in that comment

  • This was the first video I saw of the Black Keys :) I came hear from the Rocknrolla Soundtrack... Now the Black Keys are my favorite Band- for years!

  • Check out the band Kiwi amigo there on itunes

  • Hello hipsters

  • @colinholtvideo11 I seriously doubt any actual hipsters still like them after they won those Grammys...

  • @colinholtvideo11 Hello douchebag

  • one of the two greatest versions of the famous song (the other by the Sonics in 1965) by Richard Berry

  • Does anyone know of a better quality live recording?

  • @MizKatherine actually go see em live.. much more kick ass... at least it was three years ago when it was just Dan and Pat

  • i have yet to hear a not so great song/cover from these guys... some prove me wrong. gr8 f@#%%ing music

  • great!

  • just got my tickets yesterday for the show in mesa. hell yeah!!!

  • The Sonics, "Have Love Will Travel". Great song, and a good cover. I love these guys, a surprise up their sleeve every time! Who'da thunk it? The Sonics!

  • @978stevie Actually this isn't a cover of the Sonics, the Sonics version itself is a cover of a Richard Berry song, it's still amazing nonetheless :)

  • @BlackVirusxz Yes but this version is clearly more of a representation of the Sonics version than Richard Berry's, if you've heard both.

  • @tenaciousE21912 That is true :P

  • They are coming to Melbourne but it is over 18's only...............

    I slit both my wrists

  • i wanna see a show so bad

  • je vous adoooor je vous suis depuis vos début et je suis 100% fan

  • ok, this is a chuck berry song...brilliant

  • @MrGlenntipton Richard Berry get facts right

  • Got The Black Keys Will TRAVEL

  • Does anybody know if there's a live version of ''Black Mud''? -First song I heard of the keys over in Sweden. I sold my soul that moment.

  • be sure to check the sonics version too !

  • 15 people disliked because they were disappointed by the video quality, even though the sound quality is amazing.

  • I love this song it's best amercan's song I have never seen befor

  • and a big muff!

  • It's sooo freakin' good to hear REAL music & REAL talent!!! I'm so tired of justin bieber crap that everyone is playing now.....seriously people listen to real music!!!!

  • Drummer looks like Dave Grohl in his Nirvana years.

  • @v0odoochild001 he does

  • how does he get that sound out of a telecaster? sounds like a dirty Les Paul

  • @EricCrake

He uses a fuzz pedal called a sunface, which is pretty much a modded fuzzface

  • who are the 15 assholes who disliked this?????

  • @MsWildCard bieber fans

  • @MsWildCard Probably Justin Bieber fans?

  • @MsWildCard they're assholes!

  • i was a huge white stripes fan until i heard the black keys

  • @themanchild27 hahaha same here. The white stripes are great but you can't really rock out to them like you can to this stuff.

  • a very, very new fan here. 3 words: Dazed, Confused... HOOKED!

  • they remind me of the white stripes!!

  • awesomeeeeeeeee

  • These guys are like an orgasm.

  • @Garjaya like jizzing out of your ears

  • I saw them in 2006 and the crowd barely filled half the venue...now in 2010, they just sold out the same venue 2 months before the show.

  • LOL!!! Love the head bobble!

  • the 15 people who disliked this were rockin so hard that they missed the like button

  • @corvettez0910

    very not funny ya xD

  • @corvettez0910 lolz, really that is the only logical explanation :)

  • @corvettez0910 they actualy meant dis-i-like

  • you really dont notice how amazing of a drummer Patrick Carny is off of the studio recordings. You really have to see how hard he pounds the drums live to get a real apparition for his talents on the drum set.

  • sux that i start to hear them for the first time now that their getting big...ugh it would be cool to see them back then

  • Top top drawer!!!seen TBK in Newcastle last year amazing

  • man... these guys are bringing back the classic way!!!! FINALLY!!!!!

  • I just jizzed in my pants. A lot.

  • The only time I have seen them even playing in Colorado was when they opened for the Fray??? The Black Keys opening for.....the Fray? WTduece??? SO i did not go, but hopefully they will come out soon. Bob Logg is playing out here in a couple months, at least some good music passes through here.

  • F**k yeah!

  • I'll be seeing them in Aug. @ Lollapalloza in Chicago. Them and Mumford and sons...the whole reason I'm going!! :)

  • Dan played with the Fast Five last year at Lolla. Great video on here of "the prowl".

  • damn

  • Saw them last year in February, great show, although I'm doubting I'll fork out the $80 (not to much, but I'm 15) to see them with touring members...

  • Dan Auerbach...F*cking AMAZING!!!

  • @TripNDazy dont forget Pat toooooo :))

  • lovin dan's tele and pat's drums!

  • Raw. Feral. Visceral. Beautiful.

  • Which album is this off? It's awesome!!

  • @TomMcCagherty Thickfreakness

  • his voice is so damn good right here

  • This shit is superb!! :O

  • Cannot wait to see these Dudes on tour w/ the Flaming Lips...

  • As a bassist I really want to like these guys, but I can't help think that they would be even more kickass with a solid bassist...

  • @fearofcups1 I read that they are adding a bass player and keyboardist to their live lineup this summer, I believe its half the show is just Dan and Pat then the second have is The Black Keys and friends or something like that. Wont know for sure how they are doing it until reports of their summer shows start to come out.

  • @avsbmn7 That would be awesome, thanks for letting me know. Now I'll have to stay on the lookout for concert tickets :P

  • Sick.

  • these guys are amazing...

  • They're coming to Montreal for the Osheaga Music Festival...

The only reason I'm going is to see them!!

    CAN'T WAIT!

  • What is Dan using in here? Fuzz?

  • Love the Overdrive

  • Better than the Sonics version? Really? This is a good version, but the Sonics absolutely own this song. Not even close.

  • Comment removed

  • Love The Black Keys. Hard blues all the way. Checkout DeepSeaGreen for some similar vibes. I'm not spamming, you really should checkout this band, and more Black Keys of course.

  • needs more gain.

  • @BrunoSwavaholi I don't know man, all of the chrody stuff sounds pretty soupy as-is.

  • does anyone have the drum tabs for this song. It would help so much.

  • One of the best covers ever!

  • @TheDirtySouls I don't know man, The Wicked Messenger might top this one! Even though this one is amazing as well!

  • awsome!!!

  • Great band.

  • genious!

  • awesome video :)

  • so fucking sick! love these guys

  • The sonics should be proud.

  • @MmaktuBb You mean Richard Berry. He wrote it after all. But the Sonics cover is awesome no doubt.

  • @alanmh actually i'm not sure if Richard Berry would be proud. (:

  • Dan Auerbach. be mine.

  • I'd like to see what Dan could do on acoustic guitar.

  • When he records under his own name he plays a lot of acoustic.

  • Del putas!!!

  • we are sooooo lucky!!!

  • Every two decades or so, blues music goes through a revival...Ladies and gentleman, I present the Black Keys :)

    KEEP THE FEELING ALIVE!!

  • sooooo true, im young gun, and we play tonnes of blues. the blues revival is starting up right now actually, lots of local bands are using blues style stuff. canadian invasion im telling you.

  • just great! a band with 2 members performing stuff which is way better than stuff of many 4-member-bands!

  • I am totally in love with their sound.

  • i love how they look like they are in a trance or something when they play. it gives me chills.

  • *Jimmy Hendrix Speaks From The Dead*

..."Right ooonnn Brother,Righttt On!!!,Keep Hope Alive Maaan"

  • was this Emos in Austin or elsewhere? I definitely never saw anything as good as this when I lived there.

  • sonics version is good. this one is better. actually an old richard berry song, tho. not the sonics. sonics covered richard berry.

  • pure raw, raunchy ass guitar and nasty ass drum attacks like this make the black keys one helluva two-piece band!

  • This is a crazy good version. I think this puts the Sonics to shame (and I hate to say that)!

  • sound like The Who

  • Great Band, Great Song, Great Sound!

  • this is a song wrtten by richard berry-the same guy who wrote louie louie!-it was inspired by the old westen-have gun, will travel.

  • Nice to see groups that really have it. Live is the litmus test, and these guys pass!

  • I STRNGLY urge any Black Keys fans to see them live. Fcking ridiculously intense. Great live show.

  • i rly want to!

  • I've seen them probably 10+ times. Great show every time. Best was years back in a small bar in Akron (Lime Spider) for $2. There had to have only been about 100 or so people there (only because of limited capacity, there were a lot of people stuck outside that couldn't get in).

  • @dell2able Gonna see them in a couple months!!!!

  • @dell2able Just so them recently and they were FRIKKIN AMAZING!!!!

  • I Love Black Keys, i found them while i was learning about the Blues music, in Wikipedia(I am from Mexico by the way, ha-ha),So I went to YouTube and search The black Keys and the first song I heard was Your Touch and it was just like love at first sight, ha-ha, in the musical way ok. So I search all of their music and now they are one of my inspiration bands. Does any body knows if there is any chance to watch them here in Mexico, LIVE?

  • this is my young sons favorite. I'm a proud mamma. lol

  • so filthy! i love it. just a shame a shitty insurance firm used the original on their ads.

  • i prefer dan auerbachs solo stuff

  • really, it sounds almost exactly the same as the black keys to me.

  • as if, its more like soulful. enywyaz i dont really listen to either that much

  • yes but none the less very similar, i see.

  • thats awsome as shit.

  • The point of doing a cover is not to "one-up" the original performer (Rick Berry), or any previous versions of the cover (The Sonics).

The point of doing a cover is to put your own twist on an old song, and pay tribute to the originator. Which the Keys do a fantastic job of here.

  • @jvandervest Yeah people dont get that when a band does a cover of a song, they arent trying to beat the original version in any way, there just showing their respect for it, and adding a bit of their own flavor to it

  • @monkeyattackedmyass 100% agreed here. In my opinion.

  • Dan aueback and patrick karney are cool dudes

  • The sonics version was better, but this is totally awesome too

  • This band is fantastic, one of the best bands out there. No question about it.

  • A great singer - sounds like Paul Rodgers!

  • wow, these guys are amazzziinngggg

    sweeeet darn

  • I like his off-beat ryhtm guitar in the verses, which the sonics did not.

  • wooow the black keys covering the sonics !!!! that´s amazing =)

  • lol, you're retarded as hell.

  • lol shut up dickhead

  • i have no idea why SOOO manny people compare Stripes with Keys ! They are VERY different styles! just cant compare!

  • thank you

  • The only reason they do it is because The White Stripes are somewhat blues based and The Black Keys are highly blues based. Also, both bands are a duo. Plus, if you were to compare The Black Keys to any band who would it be? I know, nearly incomparable lol so I'm sure people just resort to The White Stripes for comparison.

  • they're almost nothing alike. if you drew a venn diagram, blues would be the sliver in the middle connecting them

  • Cause, of this cover I got to the keys! It is great :D

  • man, that sounds just like the record! And the energy is explosive. I'm glad I got into the Black Keys
