  • the eicrust u will never here the likes again mate

  • 9 Years. RIP Joe

  • This is what it's all about ladies and gents. Rock and Roll is real. This performance is perhaps the finest I've seen in the pantheon of Rock music.

  • Norwegian flagg in the background<3

  • Ya your band has 1 frontman...The Clash had 3, think about it

  • That crowd seems oddly not into this performance.

  • Can anybody upload 16 tons (introduction) before they come on please?

  • let me tell u a joke about london......itle be a riot!

  • THE ONLY BAND THAT MATTERS

  • Absolutely BRILLIANT!

  • @bennyfifty the only garbage i see here is you

  • I wish I could've seen the Clash live but, unfortunately, Joe died when I was 8! My favourite song's "The Card Cheat".

  • @ChrisisBass13 it's paul SIMONON lol

  • Paul Simonin... best bass player ever!

  • what the hell it should be i fought the law and i won

  • @atctnt Dont know how familiar you are with this song, but originally done back in 50's or 60's by Bobby Fuller 4. Dead Kennedy's did their own version with "I fought the Law & I Won". Clash & Stray Cats probably sticking to original rock n roll roots. If you already knew this then just disregard the reply. No disrespect intended. Cheers

  • fuck this shit............the clash is mainstream i like the dks version....

  • @AL6025 while i like DK, they totally ruined that song. Jello aswell is a fucking narcissistic cunt.

  • la unica banda que importa....the clash y despues morir.........

  • Pogues and Clash are soulmates. Once saw Strummer play with them. RIP Joe.

  • Description. Nice wikipedia

  • There's nothing greater than the Clash ... ok, maybe the Pogues :D

  • No question about it ... simply one of the best bands of all time.

  • one ONNNEEE of the best

  • great live version

  • To think that Buddy Holly woulda originally done this number had he not passed. Woulda loved to have heard that.

  • arguing punk roots - blah blah blah

  • fucking arse kicking! (but why is there a norwegian flag at the back of the stage? was this recorded in norway by any chance?)

  • No, if you look closely there are alot of other flags in the background too. The Clash had a lot of flags as there backdrop as a way of saying that multiculture is a good thing.

  • ya man i agree fully teh Ramones are god fathers of punk and i lvoe them however the clash is my favorite punk band

  • the ramones may be the original punk rock group. but the clash is the epitome of punk.

  • ramones yea they were around before punk but they were more power pop rock then and sex pistols are more suited as the first punk band in the uk but there were protopunk band such as iggy pop you could note for the start of the punk error

  • @RoscoeTheKat

you need to hear some johnny thunders and the heartbreakers man

  • @RoscoeTheKat to me the Clash are/were the epitome of rock n roll. For me there's the Who, the Stones, and the fucking Clash.

  • You can't pin a band that good into one category but the attitude was Punk!

  • excellent bit of film.

don't get bands that good anymore

  • Three frontmen! As a bassist myself, Paul Simonon is an inspiration. Jaco? Who's he then?

  • clsh is punk u stupid asss

  • *facepalm*

The Clash is punk, nothing even cose to metal. Next time, close your mouth before you talk.

  • *close not cose

  • I am only saying that you have no room to speak about any band if you call this metal.

  • i said OLD fashion metal dumbass i listen to present metal u dick

  • I know, we established this fact. Old fashion metal is along the lines of Metallica from the 70s era of metal, along with some other hard rock, and of course Steppenwolf who invented Heavy Metal.

Punk was a completely different movement that began with bands like The Clash and the Sex Pistols in Europe. Punk is totally distguishable from metal, as metal is more American, in my opinion (I'm sure someone can argue) and punk is completely different.

  • Very true but metal also originated in Britain.

  • actually, punk started in the 60`s, in USA, with bands like Velvet Underground, The Stooges, and MC5... and in the early 70`s band like Patti Smith Group, Blondie, and The Ramones came... Then some bands got inspired by The Ramones etc. and those band was The Sex Pistols, and The Clash among others.... but when we talk about Metal, you can pin point 2 band that "started" this in the late 60`s, and both bands started up in 1968, Led Zeppelin, and Black Sabbath. so both bands are from England.

  • True. Them and Deep Purple, who also are british. But the first to use the term "heavy metal" was Steppenwolf which is Canadian.

In the end though, The Clash is clearly a punk band.

  • I did not realise it was cover version...Joe S a true rock hero...

  • this is a cover version.

oh well its still a good song. love the Clash.

  • Thanks for the upload!! The only band that EVER mattered

  • mitici

  • the clash just amazing

thanks for posting this mate :D

  • I like this!

  • dk version is better

  • not really

  • yes it is

  • @25222ujkl3ui Don't be silly.
