  • alder die 80er haben anerufen die wo llen ihre haare

  • Hey girl, move a little closer... You're Too shy shy ... i like this song... :D

  • Always loved this song. And I miss the 80s too. Only difference: Chris Hamill looks much better today than he did then. If you had told me in 1983 that I would say this in 2011 I would have never believed you.

  • This is music that became a HIT, just by itself, not like that crap the media calls music and shoves it on our throats saying to us: "You MUST LIKE IT", "This IS music", I could mention some examples but who need to talk about a" beaver" or a "lady"

  • its hard to believe that the 80 now till to 30 years are over... I was born in 84, but sometimes i like to listen 80s and 90s, the music of my childhood.

i always fall in memories when in listen to music like this how good it was to be a child - easy life and no problems...

  • YES!!! 1000th like

  • I love this song it reminds me of my bf and I

  • Coupes de cheveux et morceau MYTHIC lol. Mince, c'est vrai qu'on avait cette tête-là à l'époque !

  • good song

  • JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • Tight video. You couldn't find a more entertaining video if you looked your hardest.

  • @roosevelthighschool Carolyn Espley

  • The chick is Denis Miller's wife.

  • @SysTemP What's her name?

  • Classic

  • doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo

  • Who's the sexy guy on the bass ?

  • Limahl is like Sonic the Hedgehog.

  • The chick with the big hair sort of looks like Jennifer Grey 'Baby' from Dirty Dancing and Ferris Bueller's Day Off

  • I liked it back then too. But now it's just cheeeeeeesy!!! Did everyone forget how much the 90's kicked ass?

  • Wow!When this went into the Charts I was 10 or 11 Years "Old"!But after 27 Years I can still say it's a smooth Top-Song!

  • haven't hear that one in a vaery long time....it's great to go back that memory lane sometimes...

  • kocham to !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 29 people are too shy

  • Que vive la New Wave. merci à Kajagoogoo et bien d'autres. MERCI d'avoir innové, transformé, crée de nouveaux styles.

  • I'm not ashamed to admit that I like both ACDC and Kajagoogoo. When I want to rock I listen to ACDC, when I want to dance I listen to Kajagoogoo.

  • If it is so TERRIBLE why are you viewing the video ? Come out of the closet! You were looking at Boy George when this video popped up, and you probably...... "rubbed one out" didnt you!? OH.... KMBURSS.... you like it.

    (Fricken Dork)

  • It was terrible back then and it's terrible now. Hard to believe that back when this came out people that liked AC/DC were treated like outcasts and freaks. I mean come on AC/DC or this? it's not even close!

  • @kmburss youre right, its not-this is far and away better.

  • tuncay cay huth huth abdoulaye

  • Yeah nostalgia is a wonderful thing, love this song too bits, I had bought the album back then in 1983! 15 years old!!!

  • I hate when people start throwing off on 80's music. particularly the ones who were born this way of 1990! you can say whatever you want to about this music but these people had undeniable talent. you can cleary see the dude is thumpin' the hell out of that bass and the singer is singing his face off. nothing today but no talent bums like lady gaga and the like who have to resort to gross exploitations for a lack of talent,

  • @hfish83

    So true,,,, i'm vintage 1967.

  • This song was part of the soundtrack to my youth in the early 80s... pool hopping, going to Chuck E. Cheese, playing the Atari 2600/5200, riding my dirt bike, catching fireflies, playing with walkie-talkies, playing games outside like kick the can, dodgeball, and stick ball. I will remember those wonderful days till my last.

  • @philaman1972

Gotta agree with you on that. God those days were so cool. Do remember just being out of the house from when you got up until dark, during the summer vacation. And every radio station was playing cool song afetr cool song. Oh and all the girls were so gorgeous in their 80's fashion. Leg warmers over heels and big hair.

  • The bass of this song is... is... aaaah!!!! Xtreme hahahaha!!

  • I think the bleached hair put her off...

  • amazing instrumental

  • at long last i finally found what's the title of this song! love it!

  • Damn 80s wool were fit lmao!! Kajagoogoo FTW!!

  • For me no other song brings back more 80's memories than "Too Shy".

Kids, believe me - compared to the 80's and 90's, the present time completely sucks!

  • @MDMARaver amen to that!

as a teenager, i can say this is so different from the modern crap we have now, and i love it deeply. i wish they didn't invent autotune though, then we'd have REAL songs, not songs about "taking it off".

  • @MDMARaver totally agree, sadly those times are gone. i feel for the kids of today. why?? because they'll never know. its not a cliche`, but they really were carefree days weren't they??

  • they were so hot <3

  • this song is so phsycodelic!!

    I WISH I LIVE IN THE 80'S

  • ...another great song with a banging BASSLINE!

  • ''Too Shy'' was a real bomb and it's forever fixed in our memories and more.... This song and Limahl's voice were U.F.O... Kajagoogoo is a mythical band, because of that.

  • Kajagoogoo are brilliant! Love this song especially HANG ON NOW :)

  • 29 seconds into the song when he's dancing with the guitar player........its a little gay,

  • 29 seconds into the song when he's dancing with the guitar player........its a little gay

  • Still remains so contemporary. Could have been made yesterday..

  • what was the name of that singer

  • @tatayoungfans the name of the singer is Limahl

  • @Shom909 thank you

  • SWIETNY BAS I WOKAL JAK DLAMNIE OK

  • I can barely hear it on full blast...record louder please!

  • @DarkRoseGarden I can hear it really well when the sound is just a little up. Maybe you should get new speakers and not cripe at other people.

  • @fuzzypinkcat1 Have new system... and what the hell is cripe? HA!!!

  • @fuzzypinkcat1 Try the Kajagoogoo "too shy" by chris591972 and you will HEAR what I mean!!

  • @DarkRoseGarden You don't know cripe? Even my 9 year old sister knows what cripe means. That shows how smart you are... Not smart at all. Oh and actually I don't hear what you mean. Because, There is nothing wrong with this one or that one. You do need a new system.

  • @fuzzypinkcat1 Hey butthead jerk I looked up cripe and its SLANG for CHRIST.... which makes NO sense in your sentence.... "get new speakers and not CHRIST at other people" WTF ... it must be slang in children's worlds. How old are you? 16? Adults would never have been rude like you to the request to make the volume better like the one chris591972 offers and YES its MUCH LOUDER on his! Go do your thing with your fuzzy pink cat now and leave me alone! ass wipe!!

  • Carolyn Elspey Dennis Millers wife is the chick in this video.

  • @fewrkr Just the answer I was looking for.. thanks!

  • FAR TOO FUNKY , FOR THEIR TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Back in the days when music was music.

  • @roosevelthighschool Time of renessance was the time when music was music.

  • Moves his head too quickly, making me dizzy. But its ok, being a great 80s fan am trying to resist this song

  • Awesome song.

  • oh... i love this tune

  • According to Wikipedia the server in this video is Carolyn "Ali" Espley, who married Dennis Miller.

  • awesome

  • Why just them

Prefiro nao comentar, tambem comop carne de vaca

  • Lol im like almost 15 this yr and thxs to my mom i love this song bcuz im actually shy except she sings to it which is embarrassing

  • ella me da pura KELLY LEBROCK

  • I can't deny it - this song is one of my ultimate guilty pleasures. The outfits and hair are absurd, and the song and the lyrics are cheesier than a limburger factory. And seriously, 'Kajagoogoo' is one of the worst band names I have ever heard. But that bass line of nick beggs is just great. Definatly one of the more interesting and original bass lines to come out of pop music in the 1980s. As a bassist myself, I can't deny that groove.

  • the 1980s were pure shit!!! i was born in 75 so work out my age,the 80s were the start of the contrived crap music that is still around today, the clothes and hair were just awful, was it long, was it short,no it was a mullett!!! AND MOST OF THE MUSIC WAS SO TINNY AND SYNTH!!! to me the best time to be a teenager music and fashion wise was the late 1960s and early 70s, of course we always look on the era before we were born as more exciting but for fucks sakes THE 1980S!!!arrggg!!!

  • good song, but dated now and crap live on TOTP

  • I absolutely love this. This is the 80's at it's best. Superb

  • I am all about 80's music!!

  • @philaman.... you hit all those points on the head.... I did nearly everything you mention...even had the Parachute pants!!

  • wow hes so good

  • Amazing! thanks for posting:))

  • memories of this song playing in the background when i was 10 years old. Brings back the magic of the 80s. So much i miss the cartoons :)

  • Wow,.....just hearing that opening baseline takes me right back to 1984?

  • Cheese

  • god i was blessed to have a been a teen in them days, life seemed so great, with so many new things coming out, new music, some of the greatest movies, new bmx bikes, great new addidas trainers, fila tracksuites, etc. They was so much good stuff going on, no wonder we where all high with happiness in them days.

  • Fabulous! Late 70's and the 80's the best!! Todays music contrived, heartless, emotionless and capitalist! Bring back real music and expressionism! x

  • Idk about the eighties... but the nineties! You get the best of two eras!

  • That's Dennis Miller's wife.

  • I LOVE THE 80'S!!!!!! 80's music is awesomee!!! (:♥ it foreever!

  • this song would have been great on gta vice city, know what i mean?

  • I'm only 16 right now, and I found this song when I was like 13, and loved it. I still do, ahahha. I love the 80's!!! :D

  • a decade is only appreciated by people who didnt live in. wth the 80s give us besides computers. it was a shit decade. The music was all this pop synth stuff, its just as bad as lady gaga. its just that now we're in 2010 it seems retro cool. In 2030 theres gonna be some new whiny kids saying "damn, I wish I lived in 2010, the music was great then" lol get over yourselves ppl

  • @jayejm88 you say its only appreciated by people who didnt live in it. The music was just as bad as lady gaga, u have no clue do ya! It has nothing to do with being "retro cool". Artists in the 80' wrote their own music, didnt steal from everyone else. Read Philamans comments, they are dead on! Berlin Wall came down, remember?

  • a decade is only appreciated by people who didnt live in. wth the 80s give us besides computers. it was a shit decade. • @jayejm88t

i understand what you are saying, people always wish to live in a time period that they missed out on.

but i just do not think people will want to come back to the 90s and 2000s, the same way people want to go back to the 70s and 80s.

the reason being is that music and entertaiment is so boring now.

the 70s and 80s were way more fun than it is now.

  • @keisha78 it's ironic that people are posting comments about how the 80's were great on a YOUTUBE video! in the 80's you had to sit around and wait for this to come on mtv in bad quality. the internet alone makes the 90's and 2000's so much better than the 80's were. we already take it for granted. if you went back to the 80's knowing everything you do now, you'd be so frustrated by how much everything sucks.

  • @nogoodbastid

i understand what you are saying.

i do think if we went back to the 70s and 80s knowing everthing we know now we would be frustrated because our hi-tech technology has spoiled us and we would miss it.

but i think it is kinda ironic that back then we had great music, but the technology was not great.

and now we have great technology, but the music is not so great.

i guess we can't have it all.

  • @keisha78 wait. your example of "great music" is kajagoogoo?

  • @nogoodbastid

great for the time! mind you it did make the first 20 one hit wonders of the 80's

if you watch vh1 once in a while

  • @nogoodbastid

i did not say they were great, but they were pretty good.

some of the people i listed further down below,

now must of them are great.

  • @keisha78 i think its the technology thats what made just about every musician lose sight of what real music is and that it should come from the heart and soul and not a computer that cant show emotion...i actually get a joy out of the old stuff like records old stories of life in that time the style and thats why i always say to myself whats so great about ipods and mp3s besides that it can hold all your music"i mean seriously wheres the adventure sitting at a computer downloading music anyway

  • @keisha78 U r not alone, the music industry nowadays has been overshadowed by the love of money and not so much about talent and creativity while those with actual talent are swept under the rug and forgotten about and sadly to say people are brainwashed into thinking that this is okay.Videos and songs like this you just never get tired of,the music nowadays doesnt have that type of magic, what do we have lady gaga, what a joke and God help us.

  • @dcflava74 i agree, there is no magic in music or celebrities nowadays. back then celebrities were exciting, we had michael jackson prince madonna cyndi lauper tears for fears flock of seagulls human league animotion etc. and they were everywhere and it was really fun and exciting to see them.
  • @dcflava74

nowadays, with these new celebrities there is nobody that i really like or am interested in seeing.

reason being, there is no magic or excitment like there was with the celebrities from the 70s and 80s.

back then it was just a fun and magical time.

  • Hit #5 pop, #23 rock in the US (Billboard). 1 hit wonder here. How'd it do in the UK? God bless!

  • One of my alltime absolute favorites! The best. Brings back lots of 80's memories.

  • clasaic!!

  • It is my favourite song :))))))))))

  • I really love the 80's!! I wasn't alive back in the 80's and I totally (80's word hehe) wish I was. I was born in 1991. I love everything 80's!

  • @brittanynicolefield1

    i agree.

i was alive in the 80s, but i was too young to enjoy it.

    i wish i was teenager or grown-up in the 70s and 80s .

  • @keisha78 You would have had a good time, I did. :)

  • @Tsuruta1

i am so jealous, i wish i could have been able to enjoy that time period.

  • @keisha78 Well think of it this way, when you get my age you'll be responding to someone your age who will think you were in a good time period. :) But by all means, make sure YOU have the best days NOW, each and every day. Stay away from all detrimental physical and mental, influences. And set positive goals. :) Time periods can't give you that alone. :)

  • Great song. Its all in the hair, haha.

  • My all time favorite '80s song that truly captures the essence of the those years with the "new wave" english bands that were so popular. Big hair, Z Cavarichi's, booming economy....... the music was sooo good with sooo many bands! Music was hot.

  • One of the sickest basslines EVER!!!

  • It's an ode to gayness with some implicit lyrics and some down right explicit ones too: e.g. at one point it goes: "won't you dilate". This was during a time the last Tory government [tee hee!] introduced a law which became known as 'Clause 28'. It was basically meant to 'ban' 'teaching of homosexuality in schools. Quite unbelievable now, but yes it happened. This song was number one during those times - naturally, most straights [including me] and Tories didn't click. I bet gays did! Genius!

  • Born in 1989. Wish I was born 10 years before that.

  • Awesome song

  • this music still sounds great, i wish i grew up in the 80's

  • whos the girl in this vid? she's a real cutie eh?

  • Really cool song, SHIT hair LMFAO :-)

  • i agree with philaman this was great music for a great time

  • I´m from Brazil and I born in 87, but even if I didn´t live the 80´s, I made them alive everyday in my life on new millenium... simply LOVE every single band and new wave from 80´s =)

  • 1:42 did he just say "dilate" ?! WTF lol

  • OMG i forgot all about this song..

  • How does this song capture the essence, exactly?

  • @transonicbuoy1 Think about this,no internet, cellphones, twitter, facebook, myspace, hyves ect ect,...and being in love with someone, dancing to this song and then you'll have to wait till next weekend before you will meet again,no internet no twitter ect ect...listening to this song all week,...and then finaly you meet again...the 80's were magical and pure.I was 14 years old at this time...first love, first dance ,first kiss, aaahhhh I miss the 80's...!!!

  • If You Want More 80's Music, Check Out My Channel

  • limahl is hot!

  • Great Song, brings back memories from the time when Life was pretty simple...

80s were great!!Ahh..to be young again..

  • this song is freakin dope. end of story.

  • sometimes i wish i lived my teen years through the 80's instead of the 2000's =( cool song by the way!!!!

  • the internet is awesome thanks to youtube were arguing right now this is one of the best 80's songs hands down definitely top 20

  • @sarcastic scum I feel you I was born the same year as you and had to put with the spice girls, baha men' that frog song, justin bieber and miley cyrus crap. I would of liked to be born when my parents were born. And @mgfaxlad limahl is an anagram of the singers surname hamill. Found that out on wikipedia

  • If I was a fruit, which I'm not, I'd probably give Limahl one. What kind of fucking name is Limahl, anyway? Awesome track. Memories.

  • wow, memory lane.

    They look like total gaylords.

Still. Pop music was brilliant in the 80s.

It never recovered after PWL implosion.

  • Damn... I missed the 80s... I was born in '89 and I've had to suffer through the 90s and 2000s.. I would do anything to have been born in the late 1960s..

  • @Sarcasticscum same here :)

  • This music captures the essence of what it was like to be young in the 80s... carefree, no Internet, sticker collections, riding your bike, playing outside, Atari, Pac Man, renting videos from the local video store, Commodore 64, recording songs off the radio, Friday Night Videos, parachute pants, Sat. morning cartoons, break dancing, pool hopping in the summer time, then roasting marshmallows at night, catching fireflies and putting them in a jar, going roller skating on Sat. nights. Awesome!

  • @philaman1972 Dang man, you covered it petty well! Just as I remember it. So lucky to be be born in 75 as I didn't miss a moment of the great 80's.

  • @philaman1972 You said it Exactly. :)

  • @philaman1972 Let's not forget our favorite outdoor nightime game "kick the can". And omg...I think I still have my Commodore 64! LOL. It's put away in the closet. Damn..I wish time machines were real because I wouldn't hesitate to go back to the 80's even if it was for a day...naaww, I'd make it a week!

  • @Helpful2You yeah, i remember in moscow when the first C64 showed up, you had like 20 games or more on one casette, Loderunner, bruce lee, barbarian . good times

  • @citizenmichail Yep..good times indeed. I miss them so much.

  • @philaman1972 Mannnn...you kinda made me sad, with all of the GREAT memories!

I'm just grateful to have been able to witness all of those wonderful things, before folks started...getting different :-/...

  • @philaman1972 You my friend , have just sumed up the 80's!! do you rember no mobiles, no health and safety telling us not to ride our BMX's over 'Burms' ? as you say, sat morn telly worth watching?? those were the days!!!!

  • @philaman1972 You said it all!!!

  • @philaman1972 In the words of Stone Cold Steve Austin "HELL YEAAH!"

  • @philaman1972 Singer looks like Ben Stiller.

  • @philaman1972 I could not have said it better!!! I think you just summed up my childhood!!!

  • @philaman1972 Your so right. I was born in 72' and you described my childhood. Especially, going roller skating on saturday nights. The 80's were some great years....the best years of my life.

  • @philaman1972 Dang you brought back some memories of my youth! Saturday night at the roller rink could not be beat. Friday night videos, I thought I was the only one who remembered those. Hahaha

  • @philaman1972

Wow I find you here as well. I agree with you again

  • @philaman1972 Great decade of music but god I'd kill myself without the internets D:

  • @philaman1972 believe me, I was born in 1991 and I wish I lived in the 80's, the carefree life is how I see it!

  • @ShinLvlGod Musically, the 80s was amazing. You had all these great songs from various genres (disco, pop, new wave, rock, heavy metal, jazz, and rap) being pumped out day after day, week after week, year after year. The great songs provided the soundtracks for our lives as pre-teens and teens. I hate to use the cliche but it *was* magic.

  • @philaman1972 I'm hella jelaous..

  • @philaman1972 well said...for me at this time i was only 11 but the world around me then was electric...i recall put put and spending my saved lunch money on fridays,..i loved kajagoogoo nick beggs is one of the reasons i got into bass...he dials in this tight funk style on his bass's even when he played jazz bass's they had this tone and funk sound to them that the jazz bass's i have come across do..

  • @sprintbass What really sets the 80s apart is that on whole, the music was exceptional. It was such a diverse decade musically speaking (disco, new wave, pop, funk, rock, rap), yet the songs produced were amazing. This great music provided the sound track to our youth.

  • @philaman1972 Love your post. Nice memories! Here's to the 80's!

  • I mean, I'm not really into men with slight builds...or cutoff tank tops. But the lead singer is really cute in this video!

    And duh, great song/good memories.

  • I was 13 when this came out...fab memories. x

  • YES!!!!! I LOVE IT AND THE 80's I wish I grew up in this magical time :(

  • Comment removed

  • @euekesei

    Hey Zip-It AssFace

  • @highdivegandi Way funny, but ouch!

  • this is back when they loved the music not the fame and fortune they just loved to sing

  • love the opening bass and the whole song. Was so suprized to hear this amasing song on Sims 2. 80's music will always be the best.

  • Music today sucks. I wish music could return back to the way it was in the 80s and 90s. Everything was better. And I was born in 92. :P

  • @RavenandKidFlash Same here. I'd do anything to be born in the 70's so i can live through the 80's and 90's. And I was born in '96
