  • basikly for the double digits like Juu (10) you put that in front of the numbers name like ichi (1) that might help you :)

  • It sounds very cute! :D

  • it's zero,ichi, ni,san,shi,go,roku,shichi, so many errors

    and you didn't pronounce kanji right

  • @raya508 Actually, there are two ways to say 4, 7, and i think 9. So its actually right. as far as pronunciation, cut her some slack shes still learning.

  • i am Taking Japanese and French courses in High School now

  • nooooooooo 4 is shi not yon! not to be mean

  • 4 is either shi or yon. Shi is seldom used because it means death.

  • 4 is either shi or yon. Shi is seldom used by the Japanese because it means death.

  • @TheNcis100 No. Sorry but there are 2 ways to say the number 4. Learn before critisizing others ^-^

  • @TheNcis100 it is shi or yon.. but japanese culture consider shi as death that's why they say yon, sometimes they say shi too...

  • 7 is shichi :3

  • @iBimProduction the number 7 is shici or nana depends of context ... if u count something it's nana and it's the most regular ... shici is used in marketing/business /martial arts and other repetitive things like that

  • @iBimProduction shichi or nana~ depends on context around the number.

  • I thought #7 is sichi or something like that

  • I was taught that seven was shichi....

  • some dialects of Japanese use shichi to mean seven. But the national Japanese consider it as "nana" to avoid confusing "shichi" with "ichi" and other Japanese words.

  • it is like the other guy said , and/or shichi is for 17(jiu shici) , 27( ni shici) etc , like 4 shi/yon 14 (jiu yon) etc .

  • dear sweet lord i wish they had japanese at my school. instead they have madarin chinese, the official language of a freaking communist country -_-

  • China is strictly speaking not a communist but socialist country now, since 20 years ago. Otherwise, the free market economy and development wouldn't be existing for China under communism.

  • got a big question, who sings this song?

  • ha 10 id juu lol i wanna learn this so bad

  • 1 is itchy. lol, i always thought it was

  • It makes since! 1) it would be a pain to have to put the correct characters and

    hope it helps

  • hello in japan there are lots of laungues in some laungues they are diffrent like you sad 4 is she from where your fam came from but from where she come 4 is yon do you understand that

  • i heard that 4 can be shi or yon, doesn't really matter, i use shi though ^^

  • has to be yon sometimes

    but if you were to speak it japanese speaking people will understand but the right way would be yon.

  • but i watched an anime, and they said shi the whole time :/

    4 in jap means Shi and Yon not only yon

    7 in jap means shichi or nana as you said

    9 in jap should be spelled Kyu

    10 in jap should be spelled Jyu

    Thanks

  • according to the textbook "an integrated course in elementary japanese," ashley's spelling "kyuu" and "juu" are correct. soo...where did you get your info?

  • You have spelt multiple incorrectly.

    4 = Si, yon

    7 = Siti, nana

    9 = Kyuu

    10 = Zyuu [Might be spelt juu. It's pronounced juu, though.]

    Thank you ;]

  • You're using a different system of romaji.

    That is all.

    Most people spell "し" as shi, and "じ" as ji, because they are closer to the actual spoken sounds.

  • Oh.

    That makes sense o-o

San is the first with 3 letters Yon sounds like Yen so I think of dollar. 4 quarters makes a dollar. 5- (?) Roku sounds like Reku, and (kingdom hearts reference, sorry) there are six people on destiny island including him 7 nana (?) Hachi, 8 (?) 9, Kyuu. Nine looks like a q. 10, juu (?) 11, Juu is ten, then Ichi. 10+1= 11 and so on. thank.....
