It takes actuall thought to use his specials effectively against skilled opponents. Weak players cannot do this, so they usually choose Scorpion, Sub- Zero, or Shang Tsung and spam the TP Punch + Spear, Ice Counter and Freeze-Ball, or sky fire.

just because the flash has to come close doesn't mean hes vulnerable his specials are so fast he is the projectile , teleporting behind you with an instant 11 hit combo is hardly vulnerable when you cant keep up with him. then he can do the "around the world" which spins you then he can unleash another 3 uppercut specials and you cant guard against it unless you can time your blocks right. but hes basically a cheap character
