this isn't a video game. they weren't camping. they were inserted onto a roof top with a team, a team loaded with a lot of equipment, multiple weapons. and as long as the doors to the roof are secured they would be ok. there is at least one other sniper on the roof with a semi-automatic sniper weapon. i think they know what they are doing.

that is an SPR. 5.56mm sniper weapon. navy would call it a mark 12 mod X. basically an m16 with all the fixings to make it have an effective range out to 600 meters. the mark 11 mod 0 7.62mm SASS has an effective range of 1000 meters, but that would sound a lot louder...
