  • Based on your looks there was no girl and probably only 2 glasses of beer. But what the fuck does that matter? He played that well

  • the telecaster actually fits you quite well.

  • I wasn't sure if I should get one of these. I am now. =)

  • whats the thinnest squier telecaster neck?

  • @andrewm9999 affinity

  • 02 boner

  • As Winston Churchill said to a woman who was boring him, "Madame, tonight I am drunk and you are ugly. Tomorrow, I will be sober but you will still be ugly".

  • Nice! you play like Bonamassa.

  • that sounds really freaking good.. im really thinking of a squier vibe classic.. is yours have stock pickups?

  • Hei dude! That's a cool guitar! How much did you pay for it? Cheers

  • Nice playing! a backing track would have been nice though!

I'm thinking of buying a squier tele they are rather cheap and sound nice!

  • NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD xD

  • I like it

  • lol, all those american "ow now, a beer before 21, but let's drive big polluting cars at 16"-people:p

  • let me tell ya something about drinking at an early age if you live till your forty you regret it especially if you lose things because of it not to mention you feel you gave half your life away and it doesnt come back this is a one time thing your life work hard at something else like your future cause your drinking buddys dont care how you wind up dead or alive its your life your FUTURE

  • @jazzsaavy Amen brother. Waste of time - wake up at 40 ...and you can see the boat from the shore ..sailing away..but right in the distance ..alcohol and drugs {same thing} wreck life . The smartest thing any young person can do is look at us ...but since they most likely will learn the hard way - i suppose we will just have to dance around the vomit...and say "ah" i dont miss that!!

  • sometimes it really does matter what model it is, just how you play it.

that is a metaphor for the kid playing the guitar as well. lol

  • sometimes it really does matter what model it is, just how you play it.

that is a metaphor for the kid playing the guitar as well. lol

  • good sounds my bruddah! God will take care of the rest my friend.

  • Nice sounds. I was struck by the fact that the music is not what is expected from someone as young as yourself. I can only imagine what you will sound like in a few years. Awesome!

  • yea..your a virgin shut up

  • getting some classic tones there.

  • question dude is it a vibe or regular squier telecaster do the strings get fed through the rear or back just curious also-guitar center or somewhere else?

  • love your choice of tune to demo for us dude you sold it for me thanks

  • Most of the time i do not watch these video's all the way through, But this time i did, I liked it. Good job. Keep it up.

  • haha those comments below are funny. love your guitar too dude. deffinately going to get one. do you know if there any good for jazz? they sound as if they would do the job quite well

  • I really enjoyed your playing. Nice work. Thank you very much.

  • Cool music dude, nice sound and guitar, but we don't give a fuck you got drunk and fucked a fatty.

  • very nice man,

you done any mods to your squier at all?

it sounds pretty stock to me though

  • Looks like a Squire Tele Standard. Retail about $220 in the USA. I think this is Walnut body color (sometmes called blonde), rosewood neck and the wood of the body is mix of Agathis and Alder -- If it is the model I see widely advertised.

  • Walnut and blonde are COMPLETELY different. Walnut is dark brown, this is blonde.

  • Thanks for the correction!

  • @abergreg : Blonde is most likely Ash.

  • your playing is pretty good but who cares if you had your first kiss the night before

  • Dude, your are amazing... the tone and the playing both...

  • Don't worry dude, the best blues has always been inspired by women (or lack of women).

Great playing, and all on the neck pickup :-)

  • I have the same guitar i just got $150. I just put in the samariam cobalt noisless pick ups in it and WOW! the guitar as is awsome with the new pick ups is my new favorite! try them out. i am gonna do a video soon of the guitar too.

  • dude! you are totally awesome! the comment above for the girl is superb, the essence of the blues

  • Hey man i think your shit sounds smooth. And whether or not there was a chick there or not , keep playing like that and youll be beatin them off with a stick. lol. Which of the Squier teles is this? My friend is in a band called the movement and he plays one. I like how urs sounds,

  • You got some good tone going! I play a Squier Tele myself thru a little tube amp and Im happy

  • good playing but based on your looks and the fact ur a slow blues player, there was no girl on saturday night. no offence im in a similar boat. but there was no reason to lie LOL

  • @dalondoner

well, first of all: blues players are sexy....

second: i want to see how you look after 4 litres of beer on the next morning at the age of 16, when i recorded this....

maybe i will do a video with focus on good looks an not on playing

    no offence ;-)

  • @blume137 what are u talking bout. b.b. king could have a 3some with ur mom and sister just by looking at them

  • @blume137

well you shouldn't be drinking at the age of 16 to begin with

  • @akhtab94 i come from bavaria. visitig clubs and drinking is legal at the age of 16, but starting to drink at 14 or 15 is quite normal....

  • @blume137 what age can you buy smokes at? 12?

  • @blume137 Fuck im from england and we have tight alcohol controls, its normal to start at 15 here

  • @blume137 Fascinating. You learn something everyday. (i did) Bavaria sounds like a cool place. Just the name Bavaria sounds like beverage.

  • @blume137 lol i started when i was 13 :) living in Holland

    Auf Wiedersehen! ;D

  • @blume137 no wonder u play slow blues

cheer on mate! nuthn can trouble ya!

  • i don't know if there was a girl or not, lying about it and bragging with it are equally sad. must add, nice playing though.

  • @dalondoner OK I understand the looks bit, but com on? Slow blues is so cool! And it's not like he sat there playing it at the party all night is it?

  • @dalondoner that is such a fucking ridiculous thing to say, for all you know, he could be a really nice guy, thus pulling the girl

  • @dalondoner No shit Sherlock!! Haha. I would also know.

  • Dude thats some good playing. I love Squire products, and even if I could afford some of the higher end fender stuff ( like the 1000$ and up ) stuff I would still go with the nicer Squires. Keep rockin dude God bless Mic

  • what amp did you use?

  • damn your good...hahaha. keep it up!

  • how did u got that rosewood fretboard? i couldnt find any

  • For the "Guitarist". As with all guitars, they must be "set-up". Very simple truss rod and saddle adjustments. Then, this and any guitar will have the "correct" height strings and intonation.

  • im thinking of gettin a tele but the headstocks are ugly

  • suena bien la amariconada

  • dude that's awesome.... this squier tele sounds fantastically beautiful in your hand and the truth lies in your playing!

  • That's a majorly lame comment! ! this is a squire! and even then it sounds mean! Go and post your comments to your B.C. Rich videos and be a poser somewhere else!

  • I really enjoyed listening to this. Authentic - thats how it sounds. Great job.

  • Okay, whoever is thumb downing that the Fender is better is an idiot. The Fender is better, fact. But fuck, for the price (179!!) you cant argue you intense quality. Even if it was more, it sounds fucking sick. But not that of a fender, c'mon!

  • Might get one for my kid, sounds good enough thanks.

  • awesome mate

lot of soul put into it

  • Squire i think can;t compare to american standard.

  • unfair. what these kids should remember is that you get what you pay for. the squiers are great guitars for 200 or 300 US$. when you pay 5 times as much for an American Fender you get a guitar that is better. what these kids could do is get the squier and drop in some better pick-ups (probably run you 60$ ish). then what you can cover most of the difference.

  • I find that the problems with squiers are not only the pickups but the string height. I have seen ones where it was incredibly high because of a warped neck and the owner said It was like that from day 1. My friend had one that the strings were incredibly low and that there was no comparison between his and my MIM strat. If you have the money get a Fender MIM, but if not play on a Squier first and replace the pickups

  • The squier classic vibes can and are better than some standards

  • yeah, also the fender standard strat is actually better than the american standard. i played them both at a friend's house and i really prefer the standard ($400) over the american standard ($1,100)

  • He must have a bad setup on the American if the standard plays that much worse than the mexican. Americans have a much better tone..unless of course he upgraded all the electronics in the mexi. Americans just have better pups and electronics over all.

  • Oddly enough you can make a MIM sound like a MIA investing about 50 bucks to redo all the electronics correctly. Plus setting it up correctly.

  • @TuxedoDrum yup

  • yea i know its better right?

  • yer lol can;t compare lol But still does the job if u can't afford a standard :-)

  • haha love the video description. lmao

  • i'm willing to bet it's bullshit. ha.

  • He looks like hes lieing lol

  • How does the Squier compare to an american standard tele ?

  • the squire is less expensive and made with cheaper materials

  • thanks dude

  • no prob

  • nice man

  • Ok, straight up, you're a balla... Been thinking about investing in a new electric, but don't have alot of moolah right now, so i'm thinking about going with this guitar. How does this guitar compare to the squire strat I've seen you play in your other videos?

  • the strat is modified and the tele is stock...

so you cannot really compare them,if you can compare teles and strat at all.....but they are both great instuments, i would decide by what type of design you like more.....

  • you hardcore partying ladies man by night and tele player by day you

  • I really enjoyed listening to this. Authentic - thats how it sounds. Great job. Funny, that people below actually talks about sticker on the headstock...

  • are squier telecasters any good?

  • Only the Classic Vibe's, in my opinion. I had a guitar identical to his and felt like I got what I paid for: a cheap guitar. Worst tele I ever owned, but in all fainess, I don't think mine must have made it thru quality control. It was a mess. I kept it as a project build. Totally rebuilt it, as well as a neck job. Sweetest thing guitar I've ever owned. :)! Will post video about it tomorrow night.

  • I own a stock 2000 Squier Standard Tele made in Indonesia that's superb. Plays and sounds just as good as a MIM Fender Tele. You normally get what you pay for and the MIM Fender Tele does have better quality hardware, but the Squier Standard Tele is a great budget guitar well worth the $200 bucks they typically sell for. Don't even bother with the Squier Affinity Telecaster unless you're seriously broke Check out one of the Standard models or better yet go with the Classic Vibe Tele.

  • Yeah, I hear some of the Squiers from around that era sound really good. BLOOM137's sounds nice. Really, if you like the way it plays, looks and sounds - BUY IT. Who care what anyone (like me) says. Seriously! Only YOU know when you've found that "right sound." Last week I played an MIA standard that sucked. So, who knows?

2 days ago, I bought a red '94 Jerry Donahue Signature Tele. THAT had MY sound! :) Deep vee maple neck, fralin p'ups. Cost a bit, but Sweet Lord it sounds like an angel.

  • thats some nice chords u playin there

  • good good telecaster!

  • that sounds as good as any tele , why do some people look down on squires is it cos theyve spent a grand on one that sounds just like this !

  • it's cause the guitars that peole spend a grand on sounds better. More sustain, deeper sounds. You just can't compare a squier to a gibson or fender. I'm not saying the guitar sounds good, but what you're saying is just plain ignorant

  • very true

  • And also the built quality

Not only sound but how they made/construct it

  • Yeah, you're right about that! If a Squier owner wanted to replace his pickups with another set of stock ones.... it'll cost you all of $25! The old saying "You get what you pay for" is true..... to an extent, at least. I spent a lot of time and money ripping mine down to nothing and building a completely different guitar out of it. Just didn't have the cash to get a Highway 1, which is what I wanted (I'm disabled and BROKE! :) It took a few months to do, but man am I ever glad I did.

  • For an example of what a Squire can be turned into, check out the video I just posted. I hated it, now I love it. Just be prepared to spend some dough!

  • hey sir.... my guitar is the same as yours but... your brigde is different from mine.. mine sucks.... should i change the bridge or buy a new one??

  • I wish they still made squiers with that colorway :(

  • whats that pickup ur using??

  • neck position, stock (squier) pickups ....

  • what amp are u using? i have the same guitar but i can't get it to sound as good as you on my amp :/

    i have a line6 amp.

  • its a vox vr30r

a tiny little 30watts hybrid amp ,nothing special...

  • mabey it's just you thats better than me :P

really good sound for a squier!

  • Sounds like Jon Scofield in places - very nice. Have had Gibsons, Taylors, Strats and many more over the years but got a Tele last year and now play nothing else. They are simply superb instruments. If this is a Squier it sounds 1st class.

  • thank you, i picked this one out of many others because it was the best sounding one....

  • Great playin` sounds great. Great job.

  • u still look kinda drunk :)

    but nice playing instead

hope youd fun with da girl

  • Very nice playing. I plan on getting a mexican strat before they shoot up $100 in a few days (outrageous, Fender). Also have a Squire II that I've had for 20 years.

  • i've bought a used one for only 135 :)

  • how much did this baby cost you?

  • i bought it second hand for 150 euros

its 250 euros here in europe if you want a new one.....

guitar stuff is quite more expensive outside the u.s.

  • i just think guitar prices are ridicolus in generl. squires should stay under $200

any guitar shouldnt go past $600

  • hi I'm new to the electric and wondered if can you tell me the difference between the squire affinity tele and squire standard tele, theres not a big price difference between the two

  • not a big difference, but i think the standard is more studry and reiable, which is why i'm going for that instead of the affinity. by nice or buy twice.

  • the squier standard has 22 frets instead od 21, the body is made of agathis instead of alder so it has a warmer sound, string through body intead of top load for more sustain, oh and also the standard has a rose wood fingerboard instead of maple so it also contributes to the warmer tone, everything else is mainly cosmetic, hope this helps!

  • Tight blues man.

Been thinking of adding one of those teles to my gear. Your's has a great thick warm sound, did you change the pickups? And how's the tele been treating you so far?

  • there were no changes made on this guitar...its stock. all in all its a great tele , but with all pros and cons the tele design has...later i changed the tuners , because they are not very reliable.

  • wich efect are you using?

  • no effects, except a little bit of the amp's reverb

    just guitar an amp

  • wow sketchy description man... but nice playing

  • nice !

  • Hey man, two great components to play a good blues, you got it all going

Congrats...and btw, say hello to the girl LOL

    peace

  • Is this the Classic Vibe tele? Nice job, sweet sound.

  • its the standard tele

  • This sounds so great, can you tab it????

  • just learn blues and jazz type chords and some pentatonic/blues scales and you will be on your way....playing like this doesnt require tabs...you just do it! look for youtube guitar lessons for blues etc....youll get a better feel for the playing

  • 0:34 - 35

How do you do that ??

Ive been playing the guitar for about year and have been finding it very difficult. I know its something to do with muting the strings but could you giv me some advice ??

    cheers

  • thats very easy , actually

just "fall down" the strings from low to high and mute everything except the note you want to hear.

    i hope this helps you

  • what fingers are you using to mute ????

and also what amp you got

  • in this case i used my right palm

i think its a vox vr30r in this video

  • bending the string? all you do really is push up hard. the string type matters as well

  • put your fingers like you'll bend, then play like...2 strings ? and when you pick the strings, start to bend immediately

train hard and it'll come :)

    Good Luck

  • yeah im getting there slowley but surely

    thanks for the help

  • no not just bending

  • you have the feeling for blues!!

  • how are the frets? sharp?

  • small and round/flat

  • that girl that sweetened my saturday night on my mind..

You kidding me? seen the clip of yer you couldent pull yer amp across the room let alone any girl what soever

    nice playing though

  • don't take this too seriously...

i agree, in this video i seem to be smaller than i usually am.

but why do you care about this note

thanks for appreciating it , though

  • Metallica shreds better, not. Nice video

  • gunturrent0shii; it depends if youre worried about the squier name, and which fender you would be getting. i have this exact guitar and could easily put it up against any mexican, however, the americans are likely to be slightly better. squier is not normally a name associated with quality instruments, therefore, some have a problem with the name. this guitar is an exception, it is beautiful to look at, as well as to play with. your choice bro, but this IS definitely worth the money, and more!

  • ive got several squires and they are all really nice just got the thinline have 2 of the 51's & a tele special and a cheap affinity just missed an old strat squier I was gonna relic but got to the pawn shop too late love them all ! also got a rosco beck signature 5 string and a warrior custom I can afford what I want I just love the squiers. buy 1 if you dont like it i'll take it

  • wow great tone

  • ahhhhhhhhh i wanted to see this vid again... still relaxes me lol good job beautiful music :)

  • thanks for appreciating it ...

i will load up some new stuff soon.

  • itd be fun to jam w you sometime

  • Did you get that sound with the guitar or a pedal? I want a squier tele, and I was wondering if I could get that cool sound without a pedal.

  • its the guitar(neck pu) straigt into a vox vr30r amp without any effects execpt a liitle bit of the amp's reverb.

  • Cool. It's a great sound.

  • haha thnx for the reply dude.

    btw awesome blues improv

  • besides the parts? nothing. You could swap all that off for better stuff, and live with a okay quality agathis wood, but that'd cost you bout the same as a fender tele, maybe less.

question; I'm starting a punk rock band kinda like green day's modern stuff- nimrod to american idiot, would you say this guitar would be for my that kinda sound?

  • i did this changes to my strat and its still cheaper then a fender...

i think the telecaster can manage a punkrock sound quite well, but i'm not into this kind of music.

  • so what the hell is wrong with squier?
