The tuning is F E(flat) A(flat) D(flat) G(flat) B(flat) E(flat). That's how meshiggah did nothing except stengah the low F was E but that's how they did it cause the used baritone 7-strings and just played with out low B(flat) cause their custom 8-strings at the tome wouldn't stay in tune
i want to like these amps - but i just can't :-) i don't get what the hysteria is about..... i rate the tone of the RECTOs and the high-end ENGLs much higher than the uberschall
Awesome man. This is one of those songs that makes me wish I could dance. And strangely, my favorite part of that song is that pause where all you hear is the two cymbal hits (1:41 and 1:46). Can't help but smile for some reason.
I have so much amusement just listening to this song and getting the snare hits perfectly. im a bassist, but god damn im proud of myself when i do it. gotta love Meshuggah haha
yeah. Meshuggah uses 8 string guitars on this album as well as Catch 33 and Obzen. What did you tuen your guitar in order to get this to sound like an 8 string.
i bought the guitar at store i used to work for in central new york called beat street music awhile ago, i dont remember the price, but i was also getting an employee discount at the time
Started wondering about a 6 string sounding that good at so deep tunings... hehe.. baritone explains. Excellent playing. Check out my cover of Perpetual Black Second if you like. Done on a 7 string thou.
the guitar is an esp ltd hb-300 baritone, i stripped all the paint off of it which i think opened the tone up alot, the pickup is a duncan jb in the bridge, the distortion is just coming from my johnson j-station, i think my low string is a .58
i dont really play alot of meshuggah so for this tune i just tune my low b down to f and my e down a half step, dont really need anything else for this tune, the tone is just my old johnson j-station into my imac with some post eq'ing

Awesome job. Love the sound of the guitar too. Seems like you made the right choice with stripping the finish there.
Where did you buy the axe? Price?

well it is a baritone, which helps

Well done, I can only manage the first three minutes or so, the next part it way to difficult.
And Meshuggah on a 6-string, that's pretty unusual, but possible of course.
